Wonderful company and partner in my dog's health

My 9 year old Brittany recently went through a period of almost daily vomiting and diarrhea. After several months of testing with no progress and difinitive diagnosis, she was finally diagnosed with IBD. Having insurance was enormously helpful in getting her treated until we finally knew what the problem was, and she is happy and well today.

Glad we have ASPCA pet insurance

It's great that we can buy pet insurance at a small fee per month, depending on your plan. With our 2nd dog we bought from a shelter, we weren't sure of her background. We were glad we purchased insurance from ASPCA, because our dog started seizures. We had to have an MRI and spinal tap done. At first they refused and said it was congenital or genetic. I did get our vet to send them a letter in which it was stated it was idiopathic epilepsy. No problem getting reimbursed our percentage after that.

I had a problem with both of my mini doxies! I took them to the vets and each time they reimbursed me nearly half of the expenses!I am so grateful that they exist because it gives me relief!

Horrible - Dont buy

I had ASPCA for 2 years now - they dont deny your claims but pay out almost nothing, thanks to "reasonable cost". I live in the city and the vet costs here are high. When I submit a claim, they only cover the "reasonable cost" portion of it which is in most cases less than 50% and then they pay out 80% of that after me meeting my $100 annual deductible. One more thing - their premium seems to go up every year.

ABSOLUTELY Pleased with Embrace!

First things first: Embrace doesn't do anything like ask me to write a good review for them and then they'll reduce my insurance costs or anything like this (though, that'd be kinda cool - j/k). I'm writing this of my own free will because I've really been so pleased with Embrace over the last almost 2 years they've covered my dog. I signed up for coverage for my puppy when she was just a couple months old - which is smart to do. That way they do not yet have any pre-existing conditions. However, before I had coverage I took my puppy to the vet for some "goopy eyes" and the (not very good) vet deemed it allergies. I have since changed vets since I wasn't happy with their diagnoses over time. However this "allergies" still remained as a pre-existing condition with Embrace. So anytime my dog had any problems that could have anything to do with "allergies" it wasn't covered. I never complained (I probably should have) but it was very maddening to me. HOWEVER: my claims contact at Embrace took it upon herself to investigate the pre-existing condition of "allergies causing conjunctivitis" and reviewed this with underwriters to decide that this should be removed. UNBELIEVABLE!! I've never heard of this kind of "let's look into this and put the patient first" attitude with insurance companies. Not from animal insurance companies OR human! Well done, Embrace. You have made a huge fan out of me. And I know A LOT of dog owners. ;)

Quick Payout, Reliable Company!

Our cat Howard ingested toxic peace lily and he had to stay for 2 ½ days in the emergency veterinary hospital. He was on fluid therapy, IV and other medications to help the toxins pass from his blood stream and kidney levels. Getting a $770 bill from the vet wasn’t exactly something we had planned for, but we filled out the Petsecure claim form and sent it in right away for reimbursement. The last thing we wanted was a huge bill on our credit card. I was honestly expecting the cheque to take a couple of weeks to get to us but it was only 3 business days! I couldn’t believe it… It was nice to have over half of the cost covered by Petsecure and so quickly! The claim form was easy to understand and faxing it in was simple. If you’re looking for a no-hassle way to get great coverage (renews annually…so if this ever happens again (hopefully NOT) he would be covered) and an insurance company that looks out and cares about their members, then get your pets enrolled with Petsecure.

Best Pet Insurance Ever

Just filed a claim for removing ski socks from our pup's stomach. Everything was done quickly without any issues. The annual deductible is also the best thing ever since he had an eye problem earlier in the year, we only had to pay what we owed on the deductible and our copay after that. Embrace was the best investment we could have made for our best friend. We know we will never have to have those heart breaking family issues of is our pet worth $xxxx.xx for any sort of health problem or surgery because we have him covered with Embrace. We spent about a month researching dog insurance before choosing Embrace and especially after this incident we are still 100% sure we chose the right company.

As usual, Embrace & the staff are the BEST!

Our dog 11 yrd old dog Homer had a lump removed from his upper lip 6 days ago. I just received the Explanation of Benefits and they are depositing the refund directly into our checking account (previously arranged). The only thing Embrace can't do is speed up the pathology report. The vet thinks it was just a benign cyst, but there is always the possibility of something worse. However, Embrace sends Homer good thoughts:) We have had all 3 of our mixed breed dogs insured with Embrace since June 2007. It certainly is comforting to know we have major medical coverage for illnesses and injuries. We chose our own deductible and what we wanted covered - this way pet owners can fit their own plan to their budget. If you're looking for great service and options not found elsewhere, visit Embrace!

Not perfect, but I'm glad we have it...

On January 2nd, our 14 year old rescue dog, Chloe, woke up at 6:30 am unable to stand or walk. We rushed her to the Animal Emergency Clinic near us where they couldn’t find any explanation of the tremendous pain she was in. She couldn’t do her doggie shake without falling down. To say we were terrified doesn’t begin to explain it. Our bill for the day was over $1,300.00!! Thank goodness we had our ASPCA pet insurance which covered over half of our bill. My only frustration with our coverage is that it does not include anything alternative. After spending $1,300 and a frightening day with no clue as to what was wrong, I took Chloe to an animal chiropractor where 3 visits later at $76/visit, she was fine. Somehow she had put her lower back out! I strongly encourage ASPCA to include alternative treatments such as chiropractic and acupuncture in their coverage.
