The turnaround time on claims is 3 weeks if not longer. The only reason I found out the outcome of my claim was because I called them. No one took the time to let me know my claim was denied.
My vet specifically stated the cause of the claim and Embrace still insists it is not covered. The have declined more claims than they have paid. I will not be renewing my policy.

Foreign-Body Surgery Claim A Success
This is the first time I have purchased medical insurance on my pets. Gracie is my treasure and I did not ever want to have to make a sad decision based on having to spend money on vet care. She is less than 1 year old, but when she developed an infection, it turned out that a seed, a foreign body had migrated (perhaps introduced by biting on sticks) and lodged above her right eye. Pets Best covered $75 of the surgery and medicines (the entire claim was $192 with a $100 deductible). Given the severity of the situation, it could have definitely cost more. This helps me to see that should something even more serious happen, she has a good plan that instills confidence in me. If you are shopping for coverage as I was, remember that certain limitations apply after your dog is one or two years old! So getting insurance the earlier the better will save you money and allow you to use it should hereditary breed problems arise. PetsBest costs me 20.01 each month for her (that's the price of lunch) and is underwritten by Aetna, a national company with a good reputation. I did not select the Wellness options since spaying and shots were a given but I wanted to protect her from expensive unforeseen care. Other plans were quite a bit more. This seemed like the best value that offered Illness coverage in ADDITION to Accident. I plan to keep PetsBest on her as long as I can, who would have known she would have been using it so soon? She is a woodsy girl who loves to play outside and sticks

A Good Buy.
Our dog Bailey has had to go to the vet 3 times this year. Unfortunately, they were not for preventative care. He developed 2 ear infections and a respiratory infection. Each time we submitted claims, the process was very easy.. We had prompt aknowlegement of receipt of the claim and very fast pay out. We have broken eaven on the premiums even with out having a real serious injury. I would definitely recommend the ASPCA pet insurance.

I have recommended Embrace to my vet!!
I was extremely pleased with the reimbursement we just received for our newly adopted dog,Honey, who unexpectedly developed aspiration pneumonia. My previous 2 dogs had been insured with VPI. With repeated negative experiences over the years, I had decided that with our next dog, I would research to find just the right pet insurance company; and it looks like so far my homework paid off. I even told my vet's office about our initial positive experience with Embrace!!!

Kelly's Plight
Kelly's story is one of the best testimonials for pet insurance. At 10pm on a May spring evening, Kelly (our black persian)started having violent seizures. We traveled 50 miles to the ER in Annapolis, Md. with Kelly having multiple seizures on the way. He was stabilized and held overnight. We were told diagnosis could be epilepsy, brain tumor, or toxoplasma to name a few; however, in order to actually know a neurosurgeon would have to look at Kelly, which entailed another 20 mile drive to Bouey, Md. In order to know for sure the neurosurgeon said Kelly required a MRI of the brain, the nearest MRI facility was located on the other side of Washington, DC, another 50 mile drive and the MRI would cost $1,900.00. With the two emergency room expenses Kelly's medical bill has been more than $3,000.00. Not once did Embrace question the expenses or the necessity and gave immediate approval for any and all tests.
I am constantly touting the importance of pet insurance and to drive it home I relate Kelly's story. Kelly is responding and possibly will be able to be taken off of phenobarb soon. I have been told by various doctors that so many times other owners have had to make a very difficult and heart wrenching decision because of the expense of treatment.
It breaks my heart to hear this so once again I say to Embrace, I thank you but most important of all, Kelly thanks you.

Open and honest as well as keeping you informed
ASPCA insurance has been keeping me informed about the claims I submit including what services and supplies are covered and not covered. The turnaround for claims to payments are always sent to me and this information is very much appreciated. Thank you from our dog, Ilio, and me.Susan Carman

Thankful for ASPCA Insurance
We just took out a health insurance plan for our pet this year and it has already paid for itself and saved us considerable money. The claims are processed and paid in a reasonable amount of time. Information is emailed and on line so it is most convenient.

Two Jacks One Snake
After nearly losing both of my Jack Russells to rattlesnake bites,my insurance with ASPCA was quick to process my claims for anti-venom and hospital stays. They really stepped up and showed me that this insurance is well worth the small premiums we pay. Thank you ASPCA
