I have had Trupanion insurance on my 12 year old greyhound for about 6 months or so now. She had what appeared to be a slight seizure about 2 months ago and I took her right in to have her checked out. Our vet did a full blood work up on her (which thankfully came back as perfect) and I nervously submitted my first claim to Trupanion. After faxing the claim and her records to them I received a confirmation the very next day saying they were processing the claim. The day after that I received an email saying that the claim had been processed and the check was in the mail! I was shocked! The check indeed showed up just a few days later and I am convinced that this company is for real. The peace of mind it gives me that I have good insurance on my Sweetie Pie is worth more than I can say. Thanks Trupanion!

Our three dogs have been insured with Embrace since November 2008. We had several pre-existing conditions which we fully disclosed. We have filed several claims, both for illness and under the wellness option. Embrace handled our claims exactly as advertised in a transparent and timely manner and in accordance with the policy. Embrace also responds promptly to my emails. As with any insurance policy, I suggest reading the policy completely in order to fully understand what is covered and what is not. We've recommended Embrace to a number of people.

Three weeks after getting Healthy Paws coverage for my youngest dog Andee, he became very ill. Andee has never had a serious health issue, so we were very surprised by his symptoms. After rushing to the ER and a number of tests later, Andee was diagnosed with lymphoma. I would never have thought my youngest, healthiest dog would be the first to go. I was in such a state of shock the Healthy Paws staff kindly took care of contacting the ER and handling the paperwork. I didn't have to do a thing. Then I received a very thoughtful email from the company along with my coverage statement. Shortly after that I received a check for the ER visit reimbursement. Healthy Paws paid exactly what I expected based on my deductible and coinsurance. No surprises. (I had other pet insurance in the past and was ALWAYS surprised.) The only surprise here was needing to use the coverage so soon!

Soon after, I got Trupanion insurance and once again the unexpected happened and my cat started urinating blood for a sustained period of time. The resulting vet costs, so far $600, have been nearly completely covered thanks to my insurance. My cat is able to have access to the best medical care available without me stressing during this difficult economic time. There is no limit on the cost of an individual claim, something few other insurance companies can match. Also, I pay very little as I have no deductible and only a 10% coinsurance all at $22/month. Trupanion is by far the best pet insurance company out there and I highly recommend them. Their staff is friendly and clearly devoted towards pets and their process time is less than 1 week. Given the skyrocketing costs of healthcare, this is a no-brainer.

We have six family members (two dogs & four cats) insured with Embrace plus I've encouraged my mother to insure her new puppy with them. We have experienced some major illinesses with some of ours and have been able to weather the financial side because of having this insurance (i.e. a MRI ($1900) which was paid promptly and without question). The neurologist was very interested because he has been asked about various companies and he was not familiar with Embrace; now he is.

California is an expensive place to own a pet. When you do rescue as I do, vet costs can become prohibitive. I currently have 2 dogs and 6 cats. ASPCA and Petshealth has been a life-saver, allowing me to care for multiple pets and not sacrificing care of one pet for another because of costs.
