Lifesaving

The ability to put $15,000 worth of vet care into my 3 year old Cattle Dog Whisper to save her life was amazing. I didn't have to think about whether I could afford the surgeries she needed. She has yukky elbows but for the first time in years she has a great quality of life! Thank you!

My 6 year old Schnauzer Kayla, got very sick with Hepatopathy, and pancreatitis. Unfortunately she did not survive this, Pets Best Insurance help very much with the Veternarian expence, I was very happy with how they handle my claims and I would highly recommend them. I intend to get another puppy soon and I will definately use Pets Best Insurance again.

first pet and scared

I have a standard bull terrier named Capone. One morning I went to feed him and he was not eating. Didn't think much of it. I just thought he was not hungry until two hours later he threw up. It was some fluids that came up and some white stuff. I didn't want to be one of those people who over reacts at everything and take him to the vet every come something comes up. I deciced to wait til the next morning to see if he gets better. And he did not. I took him in and the vet gave me some gastric meds for Capone cause the vet was not sure what was wrong until I gave the ok for x-rays. Money was tight at the time and could not do something of the things that the vet wanted to do. Gave the meds to Capone. A little improvement but not much. He would act the same but was still not eating and was still throwing up. I decicded to take him to another vet for a second opinion and he recommended that Itake him in to emergency. From emerg they did all these tests and found that he had a blockage in his little intestine and had to perform surgery. Aside from that they also had to take out a small 2cm section of his intestine. The bill alone for all the tests and surgery was easily over $4,000. If I hadn't sign up with Trupanion I would be in the hole 4g's. If the hospital billed Trupanion first instead of billing me I would have easily gave a 10 out of 10. Paper work and I don't get along lol. The whole pay first then submit your claim takes so long :) If the system were like a benefit

Great Customer Service

My 7 month old lab/boxer was spayed/microchipped about a month after I got Embrace pet insurace for her. The claim was processed and reimbused within 2 weeks of submittal and representatives followed up once I submitted my claim, once the check was sent, and to verify I received it. It was very fast and easy experience.

Diego and the bag of raisins

I never considered medical insurance for my cat. But during her life, she has needed bladder surgery; daily injections for diabetes; daily medication for a thyroid condition. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on her over the course of her 18-year life and fortunately, she's still going strong. But when my daughter brought a tiny puppy home from her semester abroad in Baja, Mexico, (he came here legally, through customs, with a vet's approval and the proper shots.) But I knew if I was going to keep him, he would have to be covered by insurance. Because Diego was born in a swamp and was starving, he is a little food-obsessed. I guess the fear of starvation never goes away. At the beginning, we came home more than once to find broken dishes and bowls and lots of missing food. So now we are very careful to keep things in the kitchen out of his reach. Unfortunately, sometimes I don't get everything as far out of the way as necessary. I knew when I got home from a morning exercise class a couple months ago and saw an empty raisin bag on the floor I was in trouble. It was a 2.25 lb. bag from Costco and when I left it had been almost full. Fortunately I knew raisins and grapes are incredibly poisonous to dogs, so I immediately called my vet. They made me call Animal Poison Control, who gave me a case number and told me to get Diego to my vet as soon as I could. I know now it was a serious emergency and that if I hadn't acted quickly, Diego most likely

not happy

I have had a less than good experience, although I was able to provide proof of a non pre existing condition claim, I later found that the 100.00 deductable, was to be charged on a condition by condition basis, not a one time deductable. This only serves to reinforce my dis trust of insurance companies. n addition the actual office call is never covered only some services. If their is a detail you miss, you are stuck. These claims by the way were only a few hundred dollars. So of my enrollment and monthly payments for six months, I received far less money than I ever paid, in It would have been better to bank it each month

Quick and Courteous!

Recently I submitted my first claim to Embrace. Only a few weeks later I received confirmation that my claim had been processed and I would be reimbursed within 1-3 business days. In addition, throughout the process the claim representative was very prompt in returning my questions and was quick to clarify issues which presented roadblocks to reimbursement.
