TRUPANION IS AWSOME!!
Our 7 month old dachsund ate an object and after being x-rayed the vet said he would absolutly do surgery if it was his dog!He also said"This is why you Thank God you have insurance"and it was .The surgery went well and the bill was right around $2000.which Trupanion covered 90%.I would also recommend a lower deductable!Mine was only $50 and that was also helpful.Highly recommend Trupanion!!!!!!!!!

How long does it take to get your claim?
Well it took me more than 20 days from the first email with all my claim info. I've called about five time and on the supposedly final day (day 15), they've basically denied receiving the relevant claims and kept on asking me to send in additional info; however, at this time they should have already made payment as their online website promised (10-15 day turn around time from date of claim). When I talked to customer service demanding an explanation for the delay, they initially denied ever receiving some of the claim info and the file was marked incomplete and would take another 15 days to reprocess if I send it in now. Then after I told customer service woman when the claim was sent and pointing out to the specify time it was sent, she realized they did receive the claim after all. At this point, I was pretty upset so she could not wait to get off the phone and promised to expedite things. She promised to email me to confirm this conversation and have a turn around time of an additional three days. So when I did receive the email, I was upset that it was a typical forum letter suggesting that I did not send enough info and it was going to be another 15 days to re-review my claim. Finally, I called back again (5th time is the charm) and spoke with management, who was a lot more helpful and immediately process my claim. So here is what to expect: 1. they run a honest business, because I did get my reimbursements; however 2. they are in no rush to give it to you. Do n

Nice!!!
My 9 month old Golden was injured in a collision with her older sister. She had to have 3 teeth extracted. Embrace covered the cost of the extractions and made a bad situation a little easier to deal with. Thanks, Embrace. So far I am not disappointed with the purcheas.

In 2007 I lost my friend my companion my only source of company. MY GOLDEN RETRIEVER "KACIE" she was about
seven years old when she started having episodes shaking and other very freighting things. Having not very much money I could not afford to get the testing done which could have made her be with me longer. She lived another three years and about six months before I lost her she had a stroke and the side of my baby's head sunk in. June 12th of 2007 I carried my beloved friend into the vet and left without her. To this day the mere thought of her I am choked up I loved my baby and she loved me. Christmas 2009 my daughter bought me the KYAH another golden she can not replace my KACIE but she in her own way has all my love. I was not going to loose another companion when there are other options, which brings me to ASPCA pet health insurance for the very low cost of the premium I know that if there should ever be a time when I have an option to save my baby I feel that ASPCA can come to the rescue. I have health Insurance on my family now I have insurance on another very important part of my life. My KYAH!

so-so
They are upfront with what they say they will pay. But its painful to fax over receipts; it would be nice if you could simply scan and electronically submit receipts.

Friendly and FAST!
The claims process is simple and easy. Our reimbursement came in the mail as scheduled, hassle-free. I can't believe we survived THIS long with 2 dogs and no insurance (4.5 years). Embrace is the way to go!

Thank you for helping my pet.
I have a 11 month old Bullmastiff, named Bocce. Bocce is very inquisitive and has a way of getting into all sorts of trouble. I had been trying to leave Bocce uncrated for very short periods of time when I left the house. He seemed to be doing very well UNTIL one day that I left him for two hours. I removed all of the potential hazards (or so I thought) from the room, but when I returned home I found my living room covered with pillow stuffing. He had demolished 3 of the 4 throw pillows in the room. I hadn’t realized that he ate the stuffing until he started to vomit later on that evening. I took him to the vet, and they advised me to have a series of xrays taken to determine if he had an intestinal obstruction. I knew that this would be costly, and that the pet insurance would most likely not cover the xrays, because this was not an illness. I chose to have them take the xrays regardless. There was no obstruction found, only a belly full of stuffing. We had to play the waiting game to see if an obstruction would occur, and surgery would have to be performed, or if he would pass the stuffing without a problem. Thank God, he did not get an obstruction. I submitted a claim as a formality, and sure enough ASPCA Pet Health covered the occurrence. This was a blessing to me, and truly any time I have filed a claim or had to deal with ASPCA staff, it was a breeze. The staff there are very concerned and caring. Getting this coverage was one of the best doggie decision

Did not have insurance until..
I have 3 dogs, 12, 9 and 5, 2 x Beagles, 1 - Labradoodle
After the elder one had an ACL injury which cost us in excess of $900 my vet suggested we get insurance since these costs can mount up. So we did, about 2 months later the 12 year old grew a golf ball sized syst on her rear hind quarter which required surgery and labwork. This insurance kicked in and they paid a larger proportion of the costs.
I will never be without pet insurance again, ASPCA were very good to deal with and painless.
