Best Pet Insurance Out There!
I've sent trupanion numerous claims for my puppy's ongoing urinary tract infection. Every claim was quickly processed. I received a check in less than 2 weeks. Their rates are very reasonable. They will reimburse you 90% of your ACTUAL bill (excluding your vet's fee). Most other insurances reimburse you 80-90% of what THEY think the cost should be in your area. Trupanion is great. I highly recommend them.

So far so good!
We've just purchased pet insurance for our two great danes. We chose Embrace because they are one of the few providers who actually cover hip dysplasia. Our dogs are good and healthy now, but accidents happen, and we wanted the assurance that we wouldn't have to make decisions due to vet costs. Murphy was bitten by a snake last week, and our vet bill was about $60. Embrace just sent me an e-mail that the amount would be applied to our deductible. He has to have a surgery in a couple of weeks that will be between 300-500 dollars to have a lump at the base of his tail removed. We are having the vet fill out a pre-certification form for the surgery. I'll keep everyone posted on how this all goes!

Great company! Embrace ricks!
I am very impressed with Embrace! After having VPI they are worlds different! I was sent multiple welcome emails when I signed up my puppy Moose. I enrolled in the Wellness Plan and the same day I submitted my microchip claim, Embrace sent me an email showing my new premium at 5% less as promised once he was chipped. So I only paid an extra $15 for the Wellness Plan (which more than paid the price of the micro-chipping) and they immediately give me a discount when I submit the claim. They also sent me an email stating that my microchip refund was on its way.
This is the way business should be done! No wonder they are rated the best pet insurance company. I'm glad I spent some time shopping and researching for the best company.
Thanks Embrace!

denied my claim, but still so happy w/service!
I attempted to submit a claim for a dermatologic issue my dog had. However, it was declined w/a polite letter saying that "routine care is not covered" under trupanion. I was a little disappointed b/c I felt this was NOT routine care, although I also acknowledged it was certainly NOT a medical emergency. All staff @ trupanion have been nothing but courteous and caring, however, and this goes a long way w/me, even when you are denying my claims. The staff I have spoken with always treat me as if I am a valued customer. That is appreciated more than you know.

Lifesaving
The ability to put $15,000 worth of vet care into my 3 year old Cattle Dog Whisper to save her life was amazing. I didn't have to think about whether I could afford the surgeries she needed. She has yukky elbows but for the first time in years she has a great quality of life! Thank you!

first pet and scared
I have a standard bull terrier named Capone. One morning I went to feed him and he was not eating. Didn't think much of it. I just thought he was not hungry until two hours later he threw up. It was some fluids that came up and some white stuff. I didn't want to be one of those people who over reacts at everything and take him to the vet every come something comes up. I deciced to wait til the next morning to see if he gets better. And he did not. I took him in and the vet gave me some gastric meds for Capone cause the vet was not sure what was wrong until I gave the ok for x-rays. Money was tight at the time and could not do something of the things that the vet wanted to do.
Gave the meds to Capone. A little improvement but not much. He would act the same but was still not eating and was still throwing up. I decicded to take him to another vet for a second opinion and he recommended that Itake him in to emergency. From emerg they did all these tests and found that he had a blockage in his little intestine and had to perform surgery. Aside from that they also had to take out a small 2cm section of his intestine. The bill alone for all the tests and surgery was easily over $4,000. If I hadn't sign up with Trupanion I would be in the hole 4g's. If the hospital billed Trupanion first instead of billing me I would have easily gave a 10 out of 10. Paper work and I don't get along lol. The whole pay first then submit your claim takes so long :) If the system were like a benefit
