Warmth, Professionalism, and Personal Service
My husband and I wanted to be able to afford to give our rescued Australian Cattle Dog, Sara, the very best care for the rest of her life, so we enrolled her with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. Approximately two months after signing her up with Healthy Paws in February, I noticed occasionally lameness in her right back leg. I took her to her vet, who examined her and gave the diagnosis of a partial cruciate tear and recommended surgery. (not an unusual injury for very active and athletic dogs). We also consulted with a highly recommended surgeon. He confirmed the diagnosis of Sara’s vet and explained two procedures and gave me estimated costs for each--Cranial Cruciate Ligament Rupture—Modified Retinacular Imbrication Technique (MRIT) (approximately $3000) or Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) (approximately $4000). I submitted the estimates to the Healthy Paws Claims Team. Even though the TPLO was more expensive, they did not hesitate to encourage me to go with the recommendations of the surgeon. Sara had surgery on a Friday. On Monday I submitted the invoice and received a 90% reimbursement within 72 hours…FAST REIMBUREMENT just as they advertise. AND, with an explanation and breakdown that was so easy to follow and understand. And if this isn’t enough, I just learned that hydrotherapy for Sara will also be covered! The Healthy Paws Claims Team was so supportive—they all have pets and are so knowledgeable about everything related to dogs, including this specific surgery

First Class Service
I have always been very impressed with the Embrace customer service representatives in purchasing and updating my policy with new animals. They are always friendly, caring and knew their business. I had never had a claim in several years, and was thinking that maybe I could economize by dropping the insurance, when lo and behold our large shepherd ruptured his cruciate ligament and was in dreadful pain. He needed an expensive operation quickly. Embrace handled the claim within days, and fully paid everything we were to get under the policy. I was very, very impressed. Needless to say we will not be dropping the coverage! With 5 dogs, it is really peace of mind.

Fast in reimbursing claim check.
My first pet insurance, my first claim, also Bear is our first dog. He's like a family member we love him. He's a healthy 4 year-old, but we want to make sure he's protected just in case.
So far I am very pleased with Embrace. Just submitted the claim forms a couple of days ago after his yearly physical, and already I received an email saying the reimbursment check is in the mail. How great is that!!

Never would recommend them
They wanted your money but when it came to filing a claim they did not want to cover anything. Typical for an insurance company.

Pets Best has been so reliable .
I have had the remarkably unfortunate occurrence of having two dogs diagnosed with bone cancer in the last year. Not only did Pets Best never once question a claim, but they promptly sent my reimbursement checks within a week, and actually called to express their condolences and made a donation to an animal cancer research institute. Knowing that the medical bills were not going to cause me to go “broke” since I had the insurance made me focus on the remaining time I had with my dogs, making it as much less of a stress- and worry-free as could be expected in that situation.

ASPCA
I have been with ASPCA for a while. I really like the 100 dedcutable per YEAR and not incident. HOWEVER, I recently found out that if my dog got diabetes on June 30 (my renewal is July 1) she would be covered for that one day only. I thought she would be covered for the entire year. I a have been looking at other insurances and so far..... Pet Plan might be good.

Embrace makes it easy!
I appreciate Embrace and there attention to detail. They always answer my questions and all the employees are on the same page. My pet had a heartworm test done, I submitted the claim right at my vet's office and just got an e-mail stating I will get my refund in 2 business days. This is awesome!!

Wow
My dog had a liver injury which has since been resolved. I was totally stressing about the reimbursement amount. The total of the bills I paid were about $2,750. My plan was a $500 ded, and a 10% copay. I got about $1,900 back to me. My policy didn't cover prescriptions/drugs. There is an option for that. I'm very very happy though. I mean, pets are going to cost you a little bit out of your pocket. That is expected. I compared about 7 companies before I chose Embrace.

Fast Payment of Claims. Great service.
We insured our three dogs with Pets Best in January, 2010.When our precious Muffin suddenly developed pancreatitis followed by secondary hepatitis in June 2010, we were so relieved that Pets Best paid 80% of claims after the deductible. The claims were paid fast - sooner than 14 days. No hassles at all. We are so grateful that Muffin has recovered, and we are recommending Pets Best to all our family and friends.
