Prompt, fair, outstanding service

We have not had the greatest luck with our one year old Goldendoodle when it comes to her health. We had frequent vet visits for stomach issues, vomiting and kennel cough. We spent more than $3000 on vet bills. Thank goodness we signed up with Trucompanion. The insurance company was simply outstanding and after the initial claim, paid quickly and communicated well via email. They respond rapidly to inquiries. Please note though, that the policy does not cover the actual vet consultation costs nor preventive procedures such as immunizations or spading. This keeps the costs down. Any your policy's co-payment will never increase (currently 10%).

I really felt embraced!

Shakti, our 4 month Golden Retriever pup contacted papilloma (which is common) and crutaceous inverted papilloma (which is very rare). Even the team at our Vet's office didn't know what these horrible doughnut like growths on Shakti's stomach were. Shakti needed emergency surgery that day to remove the growths and have them sent out for analysis. Within 2 weeks he was developing another growth and had to be seen by a specialist and subsequently undergo surgery again. When I contacted Embrace regarding Shakti's bills the representatives I spoke to were compassionate and informative. I even received a few phone calls inquiring how Shakti was doing? Embrace's customer service was better than BCBS! And I received payment on my claim faster than the credit card bill came in!

If only they had human insurance as good as this!!

Not only has Pets Best always turned claims around in speedy fashion, but now they will almost immediately DIRECT DEPOSIT your reimbursement - either into your bank account or back to your credit card. So you get repaid weeks before your credit card bill even comes - or your bank statement. I just had an ACL repair on my older Weimaraner and we had terrible bad luck - a soft-tissue infection developed 2 days after the suture removal, so Scooby Doo licked open the wound and had to have it all restitched. Then the metal plate actually broke in there - rare & without explanation but requiring a whole new surgery and replacing the metal plate with a larger one and 8 screws instead of 65 screws. And these screws range from $63 to $83 PER SCREW. You can only imagine my gratitude and relief that after the very first $100 deductible Pets Best has fully paid 80% of every single bill - poor Scooby has to suffer the physical pain, but at least I don't have a financial catastrophe on my hands. It's a godsend that not one charge has been questioned - the money was back in my bank account before i could even feel the full pain of paying it out!

Thank You Embrace!

We are the owner's of Annie, a beautiful 3 1/2 year old Golden Retriever. We have owned a number of Goldens but had never taken out pet insurance. After extensive study of the many offerings on the market, we chose Embrace because of their extensive coverage including hip displacia, a common ailment with Goldens. Since then, we've had a number of claims (no displacia!), all of which have been more than satisfactorily resolved by Embrace. Their response time is quick (usually within 48 hours of receipt of notice from our vet) and always with a complete explanation. Further, in our communications, there is a personal touch. They like animals! Most recently, Annie suffered an accidental tear of her ACL necessitating surgery and a long recovery. The total cost ran into several thousand dollars. She is still under doctor's care but Embrace has already reimbursed us for our claims. Our vet tells us that most of their customers complain bitterly about the treatment they receive from their insurance companies. They marvel at the positive response we've received from Embrace. We are so grateful to have this coverage and unreservedly recommend Embrace to anyone looking for pet insurance. Sharon and Larry Sargent

no thanks

even though my dog was diagnosed with diabetes in august (which was after my 2 week waiting period) they denied the claim because he has a pre-existing kidney issue that has absolutely nothing to do with his diabetes. Insurance is the same all the way around.....Its all a scam. Thanks for wasting my money and time.

Best of the lot!!

I too have changed over from VPI insurance. I guess VPI uses the money they save on reimbursement to advertise and so they are well known. My older dog was covered under VPI and I was very disappointed with the reimbursements. I'm sure had I just started a savings with my policy payments I would have come out ahead! After putting my first dog down. (She was very old)I got a new puppy. We got her from a shelter at 8 weeks and 2 days from getting her she came down with parvo. Fortunately, the shelter fee included a 30 day policy for shelter dogs. Her treatment was mostly covered. I had already signed up for Embrace before she came down with Parvo but was still in the waiting period. She now has some periodic bouts with GI bacterial imbalances and I have used the embrace policy to cover her vet visits. Everyone at embrace has been so wonderful. The communication is great. They send an email when they get the claim, when they process the claim and also when they send the payment. With VPI I had to hunt them down and usually call several times to get answers to my questions. Bottom line is the payments back are better then the others!! I tell all my friends to get embrace!

Very good insurance

Having pet insurance is very important to provide peace of mind regarding veterinary expenses. I have been very pleased with the service provided by the Hartville group and it has saved significant out of pocket expenses. I have it for all 3 of my dogs and the variety of plans offered provides the flexibility that pet owners need.

Rare diagnosis for a young dog, our CJ

As we face a rare lymphoma diagnosis in our 2 year old German Shepherd Dog, the immediate response by Embrace Insurance to our claim at least made the very difficult and sad situation one where we did not have to fight for reimbursement. Embrace Pet Insurance was extremely prompt. I am very thankful for the service as well as the coverage, though I would prefer never having to use it!
