Excellent Coverage
Petshealth Care Plan is a excellent plan for my Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier named Daisy. All I have to do is fill out the form, have the Vet fill out the form and sign it and I send it in. I have a piece of mind when I know that my Daisy needs care, I have insurance to cover some of the costs.

Great Coverage, Decent reimbursement Time
I’ve had Embrace Pet Insurance for just over a year. I have 2 of my pets insured, about to insure a 3rd. Over all, the company is great! They have awesome customer service, have never had an issue with coverage, and although pricier than others, I find it to cover more than other companies. Their wellness coverage is great, especially the new $400 plan… perfect plan to be able to get annual vaccines and exam, flea and tick prevention for the year, and heartworm prevention for the year… and still have money left over! If you don’t care about wellness coverage, there are other companies you can check out (like Trupanion) that are a little less costly but also have good coverage… But if you want all around coverage, Embrace is your place. I have submitted several claims- both wellness and illness claims… Usually, wellness claim reimbursements are quick (although this last submission took a week). Illness claims always take a little longer, but it has never taken more than 2 weeks to get my money back. I like knowing that Embrace is there to back me up when my babies get sick. It’s a horrible feeling not having the money to be able to pay for treatment, diagnoses, or procedures to properly take care of my “kids” and I never have to worry about that while having Embrace Pet Insurance… My pets get better healthcare than I do!

So far so good
Last year I switched from VPI to Embrace. So far I haven't had any major medical issues with my dog. But, since starting with them, Embrace has been extremely pleasant to work with and reimbursements have been timely and accurate. So far so good!

Buying EmbracePet Insurance is the best idea
This is the 3rd time I've had a claim...each one was handled quickly, professionally, and with personal interest. My check was sent to me within 10 days. If I've called for help or some information, I spoke with an Embrace representative immediately and he/she was courteous and helpful. I wish my own health coverage provider was as helpful as Embrace...they can take lessons from Rambo's insurance company!!! This is money well spent, believe me!

Good reimbursements
I am in the health insurance business - but on the people side. When choosing a pet insurance, I did NOT want a scheduled plan such as VPI has. This type of plan pays a VERY small amount on what is typically a MUCH higher claim amount. The type of plan you want is the type of plan that Embrace offers - deductible and coinsurance based on the BILLED amount. My bluetick coonhound Georgie who is only 3 years old, was just diagnosed with a rare immune disorder (less then 2% of all dogs have it). I took her to Medvet which is a specialty hospital and the bill to diagnose her was almost $1300 with a follow-up visit of another $266. This didn't include the almost $500 I had already spent at my regular vet's office a couple of weeks before. I chose a $500 deductible plan with Embrace with reimbursement at 90% with the highest yearly maximum that they have ($10,000). I was reimbursed exactly as I should have been by Embrace. I did have to pay the deductible twice because my plan year runs 8/26 to 8/26 and my visit to Medvet occurred on guess what date - 8/26!! So be aware that you deductible is NOT a calendar year deductible (January to December) but a plan year deductible (when you actually take out the plan which in my case was 8/26 to 8/25 of the following year). The first claim did take about 4 weeks to process but the follow up claim was only a couple of weeks. Overall, I am very happy with the reimbursement. One thing to watch for though is continuing care

The best pet insurance there is!
I have been with this pet insurance for 6 years. The fees are very reasonable and I have two Schnauzers so that is important. Also they process the claim within 2 days of receiving and the cheque arrives within 2-3 days. They encourage you to take your pet to the vet when they are sick and to keep your pet healthy. The best pet insurance there is...for sure.Patricia Hohs, Stittsville, Ont. Canada

Payment for a covered condition will cease...
...at the policy renewal date unless you have a "continuing care endorsement," which for us was an additional $7. But don't be too reassured. This endorsement may not provide as much coverage as the rest of your plan. So beware. We missed out with one cat, never imagining this could happen, and insurance-speak is not always easy to understand. So coverage can end in the midst of the healing process, or at the very beginning if the injury or illness occurs at the end of the plan year.
The coverage levels are good for us otherwise, and service has been prompt.

ASPCA to the rescue!
On a routine visit to my vet with Maine Coons, Hyacinthe and Daphnis, in December 2009, I idly picked up ASPCA's Pet Insurance brochure. On studying it at home (having previously looked into two other plans and found them wanting), I liked this one and immediately insured my boys. In June 2010, on a vet visit with Hyacinthe, the routine weigh check showed that he had lost over one pound since December. Testing indicated hyperthyroidism. My choice for treatment was "pills" --twice a day and a major battle each time--or very expensive iodine 131 irradiation. Although my vet assured me that, over the balance of my 11-year old's expected life, irradiation would prove to be no more expensive than medication and follow-up testing, the up-front cost would be significant. Not knowing whether insurance would even cover it, I opted for irradiation. But ASPCA came through with flying colors. Now, Hyacinthe is like a new cat! He's gaining weight, his coat is silky, his eyes bright, and he's returned to play-chasing with his brother, Daphnis. THANKS ASPCA INSURANCE and my great good luck in picking up that brochure just when I did.

Haven't had a bad experience yet...
I have had Embrace insurance for almost 2 years now and was pleasantly surprised with the ease of submitting a claim and the quickness with the response. If I do have a question regarding my claim I receive a response in my e-mail within hours. They are VERY helpful and even have helped me to save money on the monthly premium. The reimbursements I received have always been fair and I really have no complaints. I do wish I chose the medication option when I purchased the policy because if you don't that is not covered.
