When making a decision as to which carrier to use for pet insurance, your company was the easiest to understand re: what is covered and what wasn't. My claim was handled very promptly.

We got our pug puppy from a breeder at 8 weeks old, so I decided to get insurance. It really has made my life a lot easier and paying for her medical bills has been one less thing to worry about. When she decided to eat an entire chicken bone, I wasn't worried about paying for the lab tests and medicine at the ER. When she developed a chronic cough the vets could not solve and we had to go back 3 times, I did not have to worry about the cost of the tests done there nor the medicines. Files were easy to claim (you can use your phone!) and I got back the money in a reasonable manner. For me, it was about 2 weeks for a direct deposit. Definitely recommend!!!

I have been pleasantly surprised at how effective Trupanion's coverage has been and how manageable the processing of claims is. Per my review title--1) the insurance covers those expenses that i worry about being overwhelming; 2) the claims process is clear and easy to manage for my vet providers and me; 3) the price of coverage is reasonable and manageable and 4) claims are paid in a timely manner. I am pleased with our coverage of Nicholas. However, no claims for Sophie have been processed. I received request for one year records for Sophie, which I provided. This last week, we got a letter stating that an additional 30 days was needed, which was very disappointing.

My claims were processed and explained to me perfectly. I never had a question because the process was completely understandable.

Trupanion has covered expenses as promised/advertised. You process claims in a timely and concise manner. Your staff, on the phone, are very knowledgeable, confident, helpful, and professional/courteous. As an example, my recent discussion with Sam about rates, premium increases, and deductibles was very helpful and thorough.

Wellness claim submitted for neuter microchip etc. Some glitches with paperwork my Vet gave me to submit so had to re-submit part of claim which was frustrating (not Pets Best fault). In the end claim was reviewed and processed very quickly.
