It was VERY slow initially to get any feedback regarding claims and why there were or were not covered. I had to go back to the vet multiple times to get historical information. This last claim, however, went very smoothly without any issues whatsoever.

Highly recommended pet insurance. A bit more costly than the others, but it is worth it. Claims are easy to process and processed fast.

I have had Nationwide since we brought Matilda home. It has paid for 2 ACL repairs & now we are dealing with bone cancer. I cannot say how much easier it is to make decisions on her care knowing I have insurance to compensate for the cost. I will never have a pet without Nationwide Insurance.

Great phone app. Does it all with little effort on users part. Response time for actual claim is excellent.

I have been with AKC Pet Insurance since 2008- they have insured many of my dogs for years. I would never consider changing to another carrier. They always have my pets best interest at heart. They really hire the best people ~ when you call in they are attentive and caring. They make suggestions and never get upset with the amount of questions you might have. Always a great experience. AKC Insurance you have my business for life.

PROS: Convenient monthly payments can be automatically charged, and the online claim process is user friendly (if you have computer access). Some claim process in about 3 weeks, and some faster. The 90% coverage has been a lifesaver as my poor kitty has IBD issues. Cons: I have the $250 deductible plan, which does not cover general checkups, taxes or shipping charges for online meds, or anal expression (sorry, TMI). The plan also charges a small fee for the monthly payment plan (no charge if you pay the $600 annual in one lump sum), which seems a bit much in today's online banking is very commonplace. ASPCA sometimes calls to ask how Cadelia is doing, which is a nice nuisance. The few times I've called CSR, never had a problem.

Is so easy to complete claims and get your money back! Only thing could top it, would be an app on my phone to make everything even simpler and faster.

It is super easy to submit a claim. And now with the electronic payment distribution, it is even easier. Nationwide has thought through how to make this process super simple and as a busy person, I definitely appreciate it.
