We have had Nationwide insurance for almost all of our dog's life. She has had some issues and Nationwide insurance has helped us greatly in keeping her in good health. I would recommend Nationwide insurance to friends and family. We did not know about Pet Insurance Review about ten years ago when we bought insurance for our dog. I think we picked up a brochure in the vet's office that explained Nationwide which at the time was called VIP Pet insurance.

I have been a member for 3 years now with my dog and have been so pleased with the plan and the policy and all of the things that are covered. I just recently found out my dog needs special perscription food now for weight issues and Nationwide will cover the cost!! He could be on this for life so for the coverage I am thankful. The claims are easy to do and reimbursement is timely. I was however a little bit disappointed in the large increase in my plan this year. It is a pretty big increase and I am have to re-visit the plan I currently have. I recently reached out to claims regarding the dog food perscription because I wanted to be sure what I was submitting was acceptable and have not heard back. Overall my family and I are very please with Nationwide!

The claims process is incredibly easy and the refund is pretty quick. My only problem is trying to get a straight answer as to whether this insurance will cover having Pickle's teeth cleaned so that she doesn't end up having stomach problems from tooth disease.

THE ONLY THING I WOULD WANT CHANGED TO MAKE THIS A BETTER EXPERIENCE IS THAT THIS INSURANCE BE HANDLED LIKE OUR INSURANCE. I DON'T LIKE THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY IN FULL UP FRONT. I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT BUT PAYING OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS UP FRONT IS NOT EASY AND I AM SURE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ALOT OF DOG OWNERS. I SUGGEST NATIONWIDE LOOK INTO PAYING THE VET DIRECTLY TO HELP EASE THE PAIN. AS IT IS, IT'S DIFFICULT DEALING WITH A SICK OR HURT PET AND HAVING TO WORRY IF YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PAY FOR SERVICES NEEDED.

First of all, you don't list my dog breed....Swiss Shepherd or Suisse Shepherd. This company is fair, prompt and reliable. The customer service reps are always friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend them to everyone!

Very helpful staff and they care about your furr baby

I am part of a Bernese Mountain Dog Facebook group and when questions about insurance come up I have no hesitation telling people about my positive experiences. I have also added to my comments about the addition of the VitusVet app. We have used the insurance since he was a puppy and I can only hope that we will continue to receive the same care as he ages (he is now 8.5).
