Professional company with great customer service

Our 4 month old puppy became very ill very quickly with health issues that eventually led to his very untimely death.Embrace afforded us a piece of mind (ie not worrying about breaking the bank), but also showed they really care about their customers (the pets) by sending us a sympathy card. While I would have liked to say I purchased his insurance with his "life" in mind, it was nice that we had it in this time of tragedy.

Good for minor illness/injury

I have ASPCA insurance for my two cats and had it for my dog as well. Its affordable and easy to file with them. They are great in relation to coverage for my pets minor accidents/illness. They cover a pretty reasonable amount of the bill and have a low deductible. My only complaint is that although they state they cover 80% of illness/accident and have a high limit, they do have a limit PER incident. So, if your pet requires an expensive treatment - just know that they're only going to pay $1500 towards it and you're responsible for the rest. One of the main reasons we purchased insurance was in case anything really serious happens, we wouldn't have to be as worried about paying for any treatment. But with a low coverage cap we ended up stuck with an expensive bill when our dog got very sick.

best of breed

this company is so professional... responds quickly and pays my claims... I use several vets and one is holistic and does extensive testing... in the long run will be cost effective for the company..this company was recommended by a vet who loves the company and was only concerned that it would stay in business since it was a new company then(2 years ago)highly recommeded

Very Satisfied

CiCi had eye problems and due to lack of work I couldn't afford to pay for the unexpected expense. So I got her pet insurance so that my dogs health will not be compromised due to lack of funds. Thanks to ASPCA health coverage CiCi has the coverage that is suitable for her individual needs. After all she is family.

There's "no bull" with Trupanion

We recently adopted a two and a half year old English Bulldog named Emma. Being familiar with the health issues that frequently effect bulldogs we did research on pet insurance and determined that Trupaninon was the way to go. We liked the fact that there was no deductible and they covered 90% of the cost of care excluding the veterianarian exam fee. We've already had to use the insurance and were extremely impressed with the assistance provided to us by Teresa, our claims adjuster.

Out of control premium increase.

Sometimes figures speak better than words. This is how my monthly premiums have been increasing during the past years. Nov 2005: $36.63 Aug 2006: $38.46 Aug 2007:$40.77 Oct 2008: $46.33 Oct 2009: $53.91 Oct 2010: $ 56.07 This is a hefty 53% increase over 5 years!!! Did I get more for my money over these 5 years? Not really... YES, because a $400 annual dental coverage and an additional $500 on renewable limits per accident were added. But NO, because in the same time, the third party property liability coverage up to $25000...just vanished without fanfare... Every year, Petsecure will justify the premium increase due to "veterinary care cost on the rise". OK, but I do not feel that my vet bills have increased 53% over the 5 past years: Examination/Consultation: Oct 2006: $60.90 June 2010: $72.50 (19% increase) Antibiotic. 20 tablets Clavamox 125 mg: Oct 2006: $41.48 Marc 2008: $45.50 Jul 2010: $46.57 (12% increase) I let those figures to your own appreciation.

No Complaints

I've had pet insurance for my dog and two cats for about 2 years now and I have no complaints about the quality and level of service I have received so far. Although I have been fortunate to not have to use it that often, when I DID (my dog had some bladder issues) - I received confirmation my claim was received, when it was processed and I received my reimbursement in a reasonable amount of time.

Your the best for us!

Candi and I have used you since 2008 and we are very pleased with all of your services. She was 8 weeks old when she came to live with us. As a puppy there are things they can get into before you know it. As a pet parent one emergency vet visit is enough to offset the cost of a policy. Having a wellness policy is a comfort to know that she will have her shots and check-up yearly. Thank you so much for being there and you are a great peace of mind! Lynn & Candi

Good to have protection when you need it most.

We rescued a Schnauzer that had heartworms and came with an insurance plan free for one year. Since we were not sure if there would be any residual effects from the heartworms on his heart or any other problems, we kept the insurance after that one year however it did not cover any preventative so we decided to switch to ASPCA which does cover preventative. We have been blessed to have very few problems with our dog however the preventative is such a big part of his care and expense. We are glad we have the coverage. With my last dog, who was 12, we had over four thousand dollars in expenses the last 3 months of her life and we did not have insurance. Many companies will not insure older dogs and this one does, although you do pay more it is a benefit we think is reasonable once a pet becomes older. We thought about setting up a pet savings account but just felt that the insurance would be a better option due to all the unknowns. While it can be expensive, it does allow peace of mind and ASPCA has always treated us fairly and given us good options for coverage.
