Thank-Goodness
I did get money back once for sure, but my deductibles are so high that it hasn't happened since. And my pets haven't needed veterinary care that costs more than their deductible, thank goodness.

Our whole family has been Embraced!
Our 3 dogs, affectionately known as "The LabraMutts", were first insured by Embrace in June 2007. I was thrilled to find a company that allowed me to create a plan to fit our needs! I chose options that essentially was a major medical plan (accident and illness), had an annual deductible, and a 20% cost share much like human plans. We budget for routine care, but wanted the peace of mind that a major medical plan would provide. Embrace is the first company to offer such a plan!
The staff, Embracers, are always the most caring and interesting people I've ever worked with at a business every time I've had contact with them over the years. (I just wish I could work for such a great company).
Embrace is always there as we face knew things that come up with aging dogs and with our youngster (now 4 yrs old).
Sadly, we had to say good-bye to our oldest dog, Homer, last Tuesday. He had osteosarcoma that spread rapidly. An Embracer allowed me to cry on his virtual shoulder over the phone while I was letting him know that we planned to say our good-byes on Thursday. Sudden symptoms that appeared mid-day Tuesday told us it was time to allow Homer to go to Rainbow Bridge - we believe this was his final gift to us, to go suddenly.
We received multiple caring emails from Embracers before he passed and even more afterwards. As one stated, "consider this virtual hugs over the airwaves".
I called Embrace yesterday to see if they received the final claim because I'd not

Fast fair claim payouts and open to appeals
I recommend Embrace.
I have had a comprehensive policy on my 9 year old cat for about a year. I have filed 4 claims in that time: a wellness claim for an annual exam, a dental cleaning with some minor issues, a senior exam (like an annual but this is an extra exam every year), and a skin/allergy exam and test.
The wellness claim was paid (about $200), as it's a part of my policy.
The dental claim was initially rejected based on a pre-existing condition. My vet wrote a letter to Embrace explaining that current research shows that the evidence they used to consider this a pre-existing condition is no longer thought to be very valid. Embrace took a few weeks to research this and then responded that the doctor made a good case and that not only would they pay the claim (about $200 after my deductible), but they would also add this new information to their claims review process for other clients.
The third claim I filed was for the senior exam, and it was denied based on the fact that my wellness benefit was used up for the year (not a surprise), and the fourth claim, for skin/allergies, was paid.
Embrace has been fantastic to work with. The monthly premium for my policy feels like a lot of money ($52 for accident/illness and $15 for wellness, yearly physical and shots), but they do seem to be completely reasonable and they communicate very well, and I have a senior pet, which means higher premiums anyway. Their policies and the explanations of benefit that ac

OUTSTANDING customer service; never seen better.
Outstanding customer service -- always polite, responsive, helpful, and thoughtful. The team is small enough so that I've developed relationships with several Embracers, but large enough where everything gets done, efficiently -- and on time! I've already recommended EMBRACE to everyone in my dog training class! Thank you for creating such a terrific organization.

They're nice even if you make a mistake
I have recently insured my cats for the first time and purchased wellness coverage. I took one of my cats for a checkup as well as treatment for a pre-existing condition. When I submitted the claim, I indicated it was for a wellness checkup only. They caught and notified me of the mistake, and then politely reminded me when I was... well, lazy... about resubmitting the corrected form. Once they got the correction, they paid the claim really fast. Really, really fast, actually. One doesn't usually expect such conscientious customer service from an insurance company!

Peace of mind for my pet
After my pitbull had undergone a couple of surgeries in her second year one of my sons-in-law suggested pet insurance and she has been covered by this company ever since. Their coverage has always seemed prompt and pretty generous and I have appreciated greater peace of mind over the years. My dog has done well over the years because of regular veterinary care, good diet and natural supplements designed to keep her as healthy as possible and I am hoping that nothing too serious will happen in the future but one never knows. She experienced hip dysplasia in one hip (the other looks great), tore both her cruciate ligaments at different times, had the top of her femur removed but hasn't had surgeries for many years. Recently she was diagnosed with Horner's Syndrome in one eye. I was told that 50% of such cases are idiopathic and go away on their own and her eye does seem to be looking much better recently.

Not Satisfied
I have had this insurance for a year now and all they have paid out is approximatly $25. Every time I file a claim they seem to make some connection to an alleged pre-existing condition. I'm tired of fighting them because I always loose. I would love to switch but my hands are tied. Any condition my dog currently has will now be pre-existing to a new insurance. My hands are tied
