VERY happy with Trupanion!
I started my pit bull with Trupanion in April 2010. I just made my first claim and I am amazed at how easy everything was! The first thing that I noticed is how friendly the Trupanion staff is. I was honestly expecting something to go wrong with my claim - and not get the full 90% back....I only thought that beacause of all the bad stories and consumer reviews about health insurance for pets in general. BUT, I am soooo happy to say that I made my claim (which is very easy) and just received the check in the mail today:) Pretty quick I might add!! I am SOLD on Trupanion forever! From here on out I will recommend Trupanion to EVERYONE I know who has a pet.

The best there is!!!
I have been with Embrace for three years and have been beyond happy with this company. The "Embracer's" are all considerate, compassionate and helpful without exception. My little girl (Bichon Frise) is safe, health care wise, which is extremely important to me. I would rather pay a little each year to guarantee that i will never have to deny her medical help just because i can't afford the procedures. She is more than a member of my family, she is my friend, my protector, my entertainment and my love. I have to keep her safe. She does her very best for me, how can i do less for her?

Tried and True
Unfortunately, our dog contracted Lyme disease last year. But, fortunately we were wise enough to switch and go with Trupanion before this happened. After leaving another carrier who was more trouble that it was worth, my husband and I agreed we would try and find one that was for sole-y more-so for Illness and ER. The annual costs incurred with owning a pet, we were good for. It was the emergencies and illnesses we were more concerned with. For the most part, whatever funds you put into this towards the insurance is so much less than if the dog were to have to undergo a serious event. That is where the payoff comes into play. And not to forget to mention so far they have paid what they said they would. Worht EVERY dollar invested. ($ amt shown below is over the course of this illness)

Worse than Obamacare
I have had ASPCA plans on two dogs for about a year. They have had exclusions for every illness or injury claim I have submitted. A complete waste of money. Shopping for something better.
You would think that an organization like the ASPCA would offer a better product.

Very pleased so far!
We just had our puppy spayed, and the same day we faxed the claim to Embrace we had a reply via email. Within a week or so we had a reimbursement check, as we have the Wellness plan. I could not be more pleased so far, we've had excellent, prompt communication and fast payment. And now that our puppy has been spayed and microchipped our monthly premiums are just over $3 less.

We're still thrilled with Embrace a year later...
The level of customer service and the speed of reimbursements has been stellar. I especially love the way they always ask you to give your dog belly rubs from them. :-) I'd recommend Embrace to anyone.

Efficient, effective and personal
We have had Embrace Pet Insurance for about 8 months and our little Naia has had some issues. Not every claim has resulted in a reimbursement but even when our claim has been denied we have been satisfied because of quick and effective communication. When our most recent claim was filed, we were reimbursed immediately and without any hassle. Embrace has been outstanding and treats our pet and us with great respect and caring.

Peace of Mind for my cats
I previously owned 2 cats and 1 dog. Our cats were 13 and 18 when they passed. Our dog, 14 yrs and we lost her this year. My husband and I decided to adopt cats and we ended up with three from the shelter. They are a delight, but we wanted to make sure they were covered with insurance. Our previous pets werent.
We are glad we have decided to go with ASPCA for our insurance after reviewing the others that are out there.

My daily insurance claims - and my saved puppy!
A little over a month ago, my 9 month old German Shepherd puppy was attacked by another dog. After emergency surgery and drainage tubes, he had to go back to the vet three times for popped stitches. A few weeks later the wound was still not healing properly and they decided to do a bacterial culture to figure out what the problem was. We found out that my dog had contracted a methicillin resistant bacteria that was not responding to treatment. Our choices were few: 1) an injection I would have to give him twice a day that could cause his kidneys to shut down or 2) pills we would have to give him that are toxic to humans and could cause my own bone marrow to stop producing red blood cells. After thinking about our options, we decided to get a second opinion from UC Davis Veterinary Teaching Hospital. UC Davis world reknowned for having incredible veterinary care. After biopsies, blood work, and cultures they helped us make a decision on which antibiotic to give my Ben. Within 48 hours of starting this medication his wound had closed. The infection was very deep (only about 1.5mm away from his bone) so he will need to remain on antibiotics for another 2 months, but he is back to being a puppy again. I cannot stress to you how incredibly fortunate we were to have Trupanion insurance and not have to make medical decisions based on how much everything cost. There were times in the last few months where I was submitting insurance claims DAILY. Trupanion always responded
