Greyhound emergency
I own greyhounds, 1 AKC Italian and 1 AKC Standard.I have been in dogs professionally for 35 years. I choose greyhounds to fancy partly because there are fewer health problems associated with the breed. Recently my big guy went to the vet for a intestinal blockage, I am fully aware of bloat in large deep chested breeds, but this was different and luckily the blockage disappeared. Not before many costly X-rays and late night weekend care. I chose ASPCA because they pay. While I do not agree with some of the organizations stands, I do know the level 3 coverage pays, is easy to file and I believe fair.

First Experience With Pet Insurance is Excellent
We purchased pet insurance for our most recent canine addition to our family. Cody came to us at 11 months old without any apparent health problems, and considering the amount we'd spent on our other pets, it seemed a good idea to get an insurance policy for him. It has been extremely helpful already. The ability to add the wellness benefits to our plan has already given us a large return on the costs of flea/tick medicine and other items. Cody developed an eye and ear issue recently, and both are covered, helping us out a lot with our expenses. The Embrace staff is very quick to contact us, communicates clearly and compassionately, and is always eager to do all they can to make our experience easy and beneficial. One staff member even asked to see a photo of Cody for her personal enjoyment. Obviously, the staff members like what they do and it shows. I only wish dealing with human health insurance companies was this pleasant!

The worst!
I am a very unhappy with the service of Trupanion. They have just denied for the second time a claim for the amount of $800. I have had my Gordon Setter Duke for 6 months. We called Trupanion confirming if he was eligible for coverage along with our other dog and 4 cats. We were told that he had to remain healthy without illness for the first 30 days, which we understood. Of course, he got diarrhea within in first 30 days and after fecal tests were completed was diagnosed with Giardia. Again two months later Duke had diarrhea again and had different fecal tests and was then diagnosed with Clostridium. The tests, vet visit and medication were $800. Trupanion denied the claim stating that reimbursment claims are measured on symptoms not diagnosis. So if Duke every has diarrhea again, his claims would not be reimbursed because he had diarrhea within his first 30 days of the policy. I and my vet were very concerned so an appeal letter was written by my vet explaining the symptoms for the two different diagnosises. The claim was denied again. Claims should be measured on diagnosis no symptoms. Stay away from TRUPANION!

Outstanding
I have a 3 1/2 month old Goldendoodle 'Georgie'.He had been experiencing diarrhea for about 5 days so I took him to his vet.Georgie needed a number of tests to be run and also needed to be put on medication. The total bill was hundreds of dollars and my claim was settled in about 1 week. The peace of mind that being with Trupanion gives me is wonderful. I never have to second guess that my dogs health can be taken care of and the speed at which my claim was handled was second to none.Thank you very much.

Fantastic service
I have received such great service from Embrace. They contact me soon after submitting my claim to let me know it's being processed. They have reimbursed every penny I expected to get back and they do it very quickly. I work for an animal hospital and have seen our clients have bad experiences with some of the other pet insurance companies. Embrace has been fantastic to work with.

So far so good
I have both of my dogs newly insured with Embrace. Previously I had VPI and Pet First insurance. I have to say that Embrace has paid much more than other insurance companies. I primarily use insurance for wellness exams. Many companies do not even offer wellness coverage. I am very satisfied with Embrace so far.

Are you kidding me?
I gave ASPCA a good review before but I just submitted another claim and noticed that the amount was wrong..it turns out that I got a credit from my vet's office for something I was charged for that I shouldn't have been on a different visit. So, ASPCA insurance applied that to my reimbursement even though I didn't submit the bill for payment (it was for boarding). The person I spoke to on the phone was NOT helpful and a little snarky.
