It's the BEST

I started with Pets Best many years ago with my first hearing assistance dog and was very impressed with their service when I needed it as she aged. When I received my second service dog, I decided to insure him even though he was not yet two years old. I did not expect to file any claims for years to come... but life is never as expected. He has developed allergies that often result in staph infections requiring expensive antibiotic treatment. Pets Best has been wonderful, quickly processing claims and being extremely helpful when I have questions. His last claim was processed in just several days. I'm glad I did not wait until he was older to insure him with Pets Best

Awful - We're Switching To Another Insurance!

We signed up with ASPCA for our new labradoodle puppy in 2009 at Level 3 and felt very comfortable that she would be ok regardless of what happened. They were great with coverage for the early needs of new puppies - spay, standard vaccines, etc. However, when she stopped eating and drinking, had diarrhea and was throwing up for days, we had to make an emergency visit to the vet. Our pup had to stay about 1 1/2 days, and they ran a number of tests to see what could be wrong. The bill for her treatment ended up being approximately $800, and ASPCA refused to cover ANY of it!! Despite letters from our vet attesting to the necessity of the treatment, and from us explaining her dire state and how we waited before taking her in, they said No. I would never recommend ASPCA because, if you can't take a sick young puppy - with impeccable pedigree and no issues when taken for initial assessment (after we brought her home from the breeder) - to the vet and count on your insurance covering the treatment, what's the point of paying them anything?? Especially when the Vet vouches and its an $800 bill! We've heard good things and plan to switch to Truepanion.

DONT THINK ABOUT IT- JUST SIGN UP!!

Embrace is not like a regular "insurance" company..... they actually care. I have had so many bad experiences with my human health insurance that I really thought far too long about signing up with Embrace. I figured that if MY health insurance was such a disaster a PET health insurance company had to be far worse. Boy was I wrong. Shortly after signing up with Embrace my dog tore his anterior crucidate ligament (ACL). I figured there is no way they would pay. They will try to get out of it somehow. Not only did they pay for my dog's surgery (almost $4000.00 and they paid 90%) complete with his new fancy leg implant plus his follow-ups... but I received tons of emails checking on how he was feeling. I could not believe it! My dog's health insurance is better than mine. Also, most pet health insurance companies do not pay for orthopedic injuries such as ACL tears and hip replacements. But Embrace does. My husband and I recently rescued a dog from a local shelter and we are going to sign him up too. I LOVE Embrace! You will too!! Oh, by the way, my check came in about 4 days. Yay!

ASPCA Rocks

I've had ASPCA pet insurance for my dog, Casey, since I got him 3 yrs. ago. The first time I filed a claim (for a fight over a tennis ball) I was very happy with my reimbursement. Then, just last month, Casey needed ACL surgery. I was very impressed, relieved and happy for the reimbursement which was about 65% of the total. And for both claims ASPCA said they would handle the claim within 30 days and they did so without any hassle. I have total peace of mind with ASPCA.

Claim

I have only good things to say about Embrace. I have a teacup Yorkie and visits the doctor regularly. I dont have any issues. Im current waiting for a refund check which was submitted on the 23rd of November. I submitted the claim from a Feb doctor visit and they had no issues refunding money back to me. So far so good.

So helpful!

My Cocker Spaniel mix had to have a papiloma (horn-like growth) removed from her paw two years in a row. The customer service people were so helpful during this stressful time. And the reimbursement checks arrived before the credit card bill. I am so glad we decided to get Embrace Insurance for both our dogs.

Encourages wellness with the coverage

We have had ASPCA pet insurance on our 7 year-old Lab, Crusoe, for 2 years. We selected Level 4 of insurance which covers a number of wellness procedures. We had dental work done, including an extraction, as well as cleaning and this was covered. They also cover shots and heartworm meds and tests. Having this insurance makes it affordable to keep our dog healthy. He has had a couple of ear infections (common for the breed) and treatment is covered.

Nothing but a scam

I have had Pet Best Insurance since January 18, 2010. My dog, Donald tore his ACL in his rear leg while I was volunteering at a Best Friends Big Adoption Event on November 7, 2010. Their policy is which states "in most cases the acl tear is not paid until a year into your policy. They denied my claim two months before my year. They did not even offer to pay a portion of it. I've been paying for nothing! Your customer service rep was rude to where it was hard for me to stay calm. Donald is my family and we were both treated like dirt. My vet even recommended Pet Best to me. I will not recommend Pet Best to my worst enemy. Matter of fact I will write to the LA Times and to the TV news to have them investigate all pet insurances starting with Pet Best. I will also let everyone I meet at all the adoptions I volunteer with and all the dog shows how terrible you will be treated if you get a plan with them. I will tell anyone who listens to me how bad you are. If you do not want to pay any ACL's the first year of the policy ......get rid of the "in most cases" phrase. Donald is my fourth cairn and ACL's are not common with cairns.

this is good insurance

I got Embrace for my lab puppy after she developed a congenital problem with her ankle. although congenital problems are not covered, she has been well covered for her shots and some other problems she has had. The claim review process is simple and quick and the checks are issued without any hassle. I wish human health insurance was this good!
