Thank Goodness for Embrace!

When we purchased Annie, a Golden Retriever puppy about 3 years ago, we decided to take out insurance as well since Goldens were infamous for hip displacia. We weren't even sure we could get insurance for displacia but Embrace specifically provided coverage. Since then we've had a number of claims including a torn ACL requiring surgery which Embrace has very satisfactorily covered without question. Their responders have been wonderful, friendly, helpful and solicitous of Annie's condition when she was going through surgery and recovery. We have recommended Embrace to everyone who would listen including the surgeon who operated on Annie's torn ACL (he didn't have any Embrace brochures in his waiting room - now he does.) Thank you Embrace.

A plan that did exactly what it said

I would recommend ASPCA pet insurance to anyone. It covers exactly what it states (80% after meeting the an annual deductible of $100), and reimbursement is prompt. As a pet owner, you have a responsibility to provide for your companion animal. Many people forgo medical treatment or even regular checkups because of fear of the high costs. With pet insurance, you are covered for most of the cost and it allows you to prolong the life and overall health of your friend. In my case, my dog had cancer (hemangiosarcoma). This was one of the most terrible times in my life; but would have been much, much worse if I wasn't able to give him a chance with surgery because of monetary reasons. Having insurance allowed me to give him the shot he deserved and not be left with tons of medical bills. In the end, the cancer was too much for him to overcome, but at least we tried and for that reason I am not left with any regrets that I would have had if I simply put him down just because the prognosis was extremely poor.

Excellent and Caring Service

My cat Frosty was sick and turned out he had a mass inside his mesentary and my vet had to do a bunch of stuff to see what it is, if it is cancer. Turned out they had to go in nonetheless and operate. He also got kidney failure on top of that. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks and the bill came out to almost $9K. If not for Healthy Paws, I might have been in a serious financial problem.

Trupanion is TRUe!

I didn't have pet insurance when I lost two members of my family (chihuahuas Boo and Ace) in a house fire and had to pay out thousands of dollars to an emergency hospital. Recently, I welcomed two new members in to my family (9 week old chihuahuas Rex and Jackson), and I knew that pet insurance was something I needed to look in to. My local Vet recommended Trupanion, and I am very grateful that they did. One of my puppies (Rex) was admitted to an emergency hospital for a terrible seizure, and it cost over $4,000.00 for the hospitalization, stabilization, MRI, cerebral-spinal fluid tap...etc. My claim was submitted, and in a little over a week my claim had been reviewed and a check for over $3,900.00 was on its way to me. I was reimbursed 90% as promised! Knowing that I have such a reliable pet insurance makes it easier to know that I can do what needs to be done for the sake of my pet. Loving your pet can be a crime with high and unreasonable costs of hospitals and vet clinics, but with Trupanion loving your pet is honored and stress-free. I have to send out a special thanks to Trupanion because without them, Rex wouldn't be here, and that means Jackson wouldn't have his brother, and our family wouldn't be complete. From the bottom of our hearts- Thank you Trupanion; words can't express how grateful we are! We (Rex, Jackson, and I) couldn't do it without you! Sincerely- Rex, Jackson, and Melissa

Pet's Best is certainly NOT the "best"

I had my four cats insured with Pets Best for several years, and did not have any problem until recently. I adopted an older dog from the local shelter last June, and in July, I added her to the policy. A few months afterwards, I took her to the vet because she was scratching and her skin appeared dry. The doctor prescribed a medication for this issue, and also noticed a lump on her breast. It was suggested that she have a lumpectomy because it might prove to be malignant. I did not have this procedure done until this February because I had other serious health issues with my oldest cat. When I submitted the claim to Pets Best, I recieved several phone calls from them asking for further information. Each time, the same questions were asked, each time the same answer was given. On the day I was to renew my insurance, which I did, I went to my "pet portal" only to find my claim for the dog's lumpectomy had been denied. The reason was, "records from the veterinarian were not submitted". I spoke to my vet. and discovered they had been submitted to Pets Best, within the next business day. I called the Pets Best, and questioned this denial. I was told the vet had not sent the records. When I informed them that indeed the vet had, and even the time of day, the representative became polite, yet condescending. I was even indirectly accused of lieing about her records and where they had originated. The more I told the representative that my dog had only been to one veterina
