Trupanion is the pet insurane to have!!!

Trupanion is incredible. My 4 yr old rottie Marley is an accident waiting to happen. I have spent more money in medical expenses in his 4 years than I did on two other rotties that both lived to be 12 yrs. So I decided that it was time to purchase insurance. After researching various plans I decided on Trupanion. Less than two months after enrolling, Marley tore his ACL and required surgery ($3858). Unbelievabley Trupanion has covered 90% of the cost of this surgery. I cannot say enough good things about this insurance!! I am not someone who usually writes reviews but this company has come through for me. I would highly recommend Trupanion.

Wellness Plan works for me!

I insured my mixed breed dog 4 months ago, and when his birthday rolled around I took him in for his annual healthy dog exam. Because I had insurance I felt free to let our [trusted] vet perform whatever tests he felted he needed to in order to insure that Abijah was healthy. Our bill came to $261, and although my allowable reinbursement was only $200, it certainly took the "ouch" out of the bill. My Customer Service rep was ontop of my claim, and my reinbursement hit in 8 days. I consider the Wellness Policy sort of a savings plan for my dog (as my payment just about covers the $200 allowed). This works for me. :)

We are very happy with our new insurance.

We have recently switched over to Embrace and are very happy with the new insurance. They are prompt, extremely responsive, and they cover what they said they would cover with no hidden agendas or surprises. We are recommending embrace to all of our friends with pets.

Fast, Excellent Service

I bought this policy when my dog was very young, after having paid for a very expensive hospital stay to treat pneumonia. I have used it as a buffer in case anything untoward ever happened to her, while paying up front on my own for any normal wellness care. The first time I had to make a claim was for juvenile cataracts after having held the policy for a couple years. The surgery was over $2000 and I was very nervous about dealing with the insurance. Well my nervousness turned out to be totally unnecessary. I was covered for 90% of the surgery and Embrace was efficient, polite, and prompt with payment. My boston has nearly 100% vision and I could not be more pleased with Embrace's response. The only reason I do not give this policy a 10 is that it is one of the more expensive ones out there. Worth it for me though.

very efficient wellness claim process

It takes much longer for me to file the claim than for Embrace to respond and send updates. I always get great customer service that answers all my questions no matter how basic they are.

I am so grateful . . .

My darling calico, Aretha, was diagnosed with lymphoma 4 months after I bought a Level 3 policy with ASPCA Insurance.Although insurance nevers pays all, I have been so grateful that I had the coverage.Chemo is very expensive and can go on for the rest of an animal's life. Ree Ree is in remission now (chemo pill sonce a month). ASPCA Insurance service has been excellent callilng from time to time to see how we are doing. I am so thankful that I have coverage.

If you care about your pet get ASPCA pet insurance

I adopted Scout 2+ years ago from my local SPCA. She is an adorable beagle mix who has nothing but love to give. I knew I wanted pet insurance as I had payed thousands on an illness my previous dog had w/o insurance. When I researched various insurance options I saw that ASPCA was the best bet. Since, I have had to use the insurance, once for a dog bite on Scout and a couple of times for an eye infection. All I can say is if you do not have pet insurance, get it. The claim forms are easy to fill out, send in and in no time you will be reimbursed. Do it for your pet, peace of mind and for all the animals in the ASPCA, without them what would they do.

It's the BEST

I started with Pets Best many years ago with my first hearing assistance dog and was very impressed with their service when I needed it as she aged. When I received my second service dog, I decided to insure him even though he was not yet two years old. I did not expect to file any claims for years to come... but life is never as expected. He has developed allergies that often result in staph infections requiring expensive antibiotic treatment. Pets Best has been wonderful, quickly processing claims and being extremely helpful when I have questions. His last claim was processed in just several days. I'm glad I did not wait until he was older to insure him with Pets Best

Awful - We're Switching To Another Insurance!

We signed up with ASPCA for our new labradoodle puppy in 2009 at Level 3 and felt very comfortable that she would be ok regardless of what happened. They were great with coverage for the early needs of new puppies - spay, standard vaccines, etc. However, when she stopped eating and drinking, had diarrhea and was throwing up for days, we had to make an emergency visit to the vet. Our pup had to stay about 1 1/2 days, and they ran a number of tests to see what could be wrong. The bill for her treatment ended up being approximately $800, and ASPCA refused to cover ANY of it!! Despite letters from our vet attesting to the necessity of the treatment, and from us explaining her dire state and how we waited before taking her in, they said No. I would never recommend ASPCA because, if you can't take a sick young puppy - with impeccable pedigree and no issues when taken for initial assessment (after we brought her home from the breeder) - to the vet and count on your insurance covering the treatment, what's the point of paying them anything?? Especially when the Vet vouches and its an $800 bill! We've heard good things and plan to switch to Truepanion.

DONT THINK ABOUT IT- JUST SIGN UP!!

Embrace is not like a regular "insurance" company..... they actually care. I have had so many bad experiences with my human health insurance that I really thought far too long about signing up with Embrace. I figured that if MY health insurance was such a disaster a PET health insurance company had to be far worse. Boy was I wrong. Shortly after signing up with Embrace my dog tore his anterior crucidate ligament (ACL). I figured there is no way they would pay. They will try to get out of it somehow. Not only did they pay for my dog's surgery (almost $4000.00 and they paid 90%) complete with his new fancy leg implant plus his follow-ups... but I received tons of emails checking on how he was feeling. I could not believe it! My dog's health insurance is better than mine. Also, most pet health insurance companies do not pay for orthopedic injuries such as ACL tears and hip replacements. But Embrace does. My husband and I recently rescued a dog from a local shelter and we are going to sign him up too. I LOVE Embrace! You will too!! Oh, by the way, my check came in about 4 days. Yay!
