Wellness Coverage
This is our first year on Wellness after several years on another company. Communication is great. Highly recommend getting the Wellness coverage. We have submitted for annual exams, flea and tic prevention and Heartworm prevention and they process and pay much faster than our old company. We have coverage on two Beagles and so far are very pleased. Have not had any illness claims.

First Claim completed successfully
I have been a customer at Embrace for about two years, insuring my two year old spaniel mix. We chose only to cover illness and accident, and luckily have not had to use it until our dog scratched his cornea in November. The reimbursement process was extremely straightforward and timely, and I couldn't be more pleased.

Superb response
We have had insurance with Embrace for 2 years now, and can say that the company is extremely prompt and efficient in processing claims. Good email communications and follow-up. Wellness insurance is a real bonus and I suggest that the company create a separate Wellness claim form. Highest recommendations.

A+ = reimbursement TAT, F - pre-existing
I was very pleased with the fact that it took 10 days from the office visit to the time I received a direct deposit for meds. What I am not happy with is the fact of how they treat "pre-conditions" We adopted our stray dog on 11/19/10, no medical history at all for him. Took him to his first vet visit and he had some problems. We purchased the insurance on 12/5/10....obviously couldn't get it BEFORE we adopted him.....See the emails below and my response....

Regarding your claim - "Recheck Ears" - with Claim Amount $66.00 for dates 12/20/2010 12:00 AM to 12/20/2010 12:00 AM
"Hello Sharon,
Thank you for faxing in Peanut's claim documentation, which we received today.
When I reviewed Peanut's claim, I noticed that the vet visit for this claim occured in the 14 day waiting period for Peanut's coverage. Unfortunately, this means the claim you submitted is not covered by your policy.
I am sorry this email does not bring you good news and I am disappointed that we could not provide benefits on this claim. I look forward to providing you and Peanut other benefits and services in the future.
If you have any questions regarding your claim please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for choosing Embrace."

"If I purchased on the 5, starts the 6th with a 14 day waiting period, it's effective the 20th, correct? So how did it occur in the 14 day waiting period?"

Right on Time!
Our dog ate a pound of Chocolate covered raisins and spent the weekend in the doggie ER. Our Embrace policy covered a significant portion of the bill and the service was excellent!

Good reimbursement and fast response
GOOD REIMBURSEMENT. This current reimbursement was about half of the bill I submitted. My dog had a severe sytemic allergic reaction to an insect bite. This made me VERY happy and thankful that I carry insurance.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Claims are always followed up with a personal email from Embrace, acknowledging receipt of the claim, giving an estimate on the time for review, and when to expect reimbursement. I like the fact that a real person actually looks at the claim, and then gives me enough information about what to expect from Embrace--so that I'm never left hanging.
Also so much appreciated is the genuine expression of concern about how my little fur-buddy is getting along following the medical problem.

Trupanion lives up to their promise
We signed up for Trupanion in July or August and twice have filed claims: once for an ER visit and once for a vet (sick) visit. They don't pay for well visits or the exam fees, but they do pay 90% of the sick visit procedures. My last bill was $187 and change and I just got a check for $125 and change.
I like this plan a lot because we can budget for the well visits... it's the little surprises along the way that get us!
It is also super-easy to use. You just give the doctor the Trupanion form and then next thing you know Trupanion is eMailing you to tell you that your claim is being processed.. and then again to tell you how much you are getting back. It is very fast (12/16 visit date, 12/23 check issue date)!

Worth EVERY Penny Spent
My domestic short hair kitty "Sis"(16 yrs old) had some unexpected problems back in October & November 2010 with her balance, she all the sudden one evening could not stand up or walk and her heart rate was racing, I thought she was having a stroke or something, I rushed her to my vet, they checked her over and sent me home with no anwsers, I went to a different vet for a second opinion, after a thorough check up and blood work the vet stated that she had a lot of build up of wax in her ears and thought that was the problem, I scheduled her for surgery to do a thorough cleaning deep in the ear, Sis stopped breathing and they revived her and said that she just was not a spring chicken anymore and that it was not safe to ever put her under again, so we tried antibiotics and ear drops, she has learned to adapt and lives a perfectly normal life now. If it was not for the ASPCA Pet Insurance, I really don't know what I would have done, I paid my deductable of $100.00 and I have been reimbursed anywhere from 75-80% of what I put out of pocket after my deductable. I have 2 other cats as well and I have them insured too incase I ever run into any problems with them in the future. When you have pets in your family, pet insurance is the best way to go, most pets are like family members to us and the should never be looked at as anything any less that any other family member and they deserve the same care and help that us as humans receive. Pet Insurance also reimbursed me for the s
