Protecting my family
I would say that having pet insurance is a great thing because you never know when something may happen. My four year old Chihuahua/mutt mix began limping on both back legs. I was in such a panic. Was something wrong with his hips, his back, his joints.....the endless numbers of possible things ran through my head. With pet insurance, you have a better piece of mind on being able to handle the finacial burden that such an injury would bring.
With the economy being so bad and I'm still looking for permanant work for the past year and a half,it was nice to have this to lean on.
The only other thing that helped was having Care Credit also. Two things that work so very well together.
Although the amount of money back on his yearly shots has been not very consistant, the processing of claims is very fast and the reimbursement on the soft tissue injury with x-rays and all, came back very quickly.
It is one expense that I have, that hasn't even come near the chopping block to consider cutting.

Pet insurence is a Must!
I am very happy with the insurence so far. I like that they contact me by e mail to let me know that the claim is bring processed. It is soooooooo important to have pet insurence. The time I didnt get pet insurence, was the time that my dog was very sick and I paid for a long term illness for 8 years. He was the 10,000 dollar dog! I am glad to cover my dog with the ASPCA plan. i know if something were to happen, I can count on them to pay her bills.

ASPCA insurance not pet friendly
I insured with ASPCA because of the name and also being member of Aspca, the insurance company is misleading by using the name Aspca, it is the most worst company to insure with, when it comes to claims,it never got resolved, I ended up paying the whole balance. Highly recommend VPI, Petplan, I wish i had read reviews before signing up with ASPCA insurance, now I am with Petplan, very good.

Pets Best Ins.-Claims
I can't tell you how happy I am that we took out a Pets Best Plan. In the past 2 months alone, I have had to pay out over $7,000.00 for our pet, Toby. I would spend another, just because he is a joy to have around. And Pets Best, as usual, has handled everything very well.

Good insurance to have!
We had originally decided to get some sort of pet insurance after our dog, Riley died from an intestinal blockage and his surgery to try and remidy the issue (which didnt work) cost a good amount of money. We looked around at several pet insurances and decided on ASPCA's. We now have our two dogs, a dachshund and spaniel mix insured and it gives us great peace of mind that they will be covered should anything like what happened to our previous dog, happen to them. The insurance we pay each month for both dogs is reasonable and they recieve decent coverage. My dachshund is a puppy and gets into absolutely everything! She has had several claims this year and the insurance has already paid for itself! Would recommend this pet insurance to everyone who wants to keep their furry friends covered.

Well worth the monthly premium
I have owned dogs all my life, but this is the first time I have ever purchased pet insurance. I think it is a good investment because my little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has had his share of GI upsets and other minor health issues. The costs can mount up quickly, especially when xrays are involved, so having ASPCA insurance for him really has been worthwhile. It even covered a visit to an emergency veterinary clinic on the night before Thanksgiving when I discovered that he had an ear infection. Naturally I did not wait to find out whether this would be covered before taking him to be seen, but I was really happy to learn that it was!

ABSOLUTE SHAM!
do not buy this pet insurance, have a lab that injured his knee and needed surgery- they denied it and now i have to appeal to them and to an "independent" third party vet, that gets paid by whom??? yes, trupanion, how can this vet ever be impartial?- my dog has been at the same vet for over 11 years and not one problem ever with his leg!- full documented records and still they don't want to pay and they keep delaying the appeal process so i keep paying the premium! stay away!!

Embrace Pet Insurance is a Breath of Fresh Air
My husband and I have only been with Embrace Pet Insurance for a month, but so far, we are very happy with their customer service. Prior to our new Doberman puppy, we had a Miniature Schnauzer as a member of the family who had diabetes. We didn't have pet insurance with him, and we paid thousands of dollars to care for him. We decided that with our next dog, we would try pet insurance. My husband researched pet insurance companies for weeks (he was obsessed)! Embrace seemed like it had the best features, but what really sold us was the customer service. My husband called several companies before he joined Embrace and some either never answered the phone, or left him on hold or couldn't answer his questions, but not Embrace. They always answered quickly and were knowledgeable about what he was questioning. That's what won us as a customer; knowing someone would be there to answer the phone. Since we have joined, we have made 2 claims for puppy visits. I like how you receive an email confirming Embrace has received the claim and a subsequent email in less than a week that the claim is processed and the check is on its way. Just this morning I signed up for direct deposit into my checking account for reimbursement which will save me going to the bank to deposit a check, and save a little bit of trash (and the environment) with Embrace not having to mail me a check. I wish my own health insurance was this easy to deal with!
Thank you Embrace for being a breath of fresh air giv
