Medical bills won't dictate my decisions
I purchased ASPCA Insurance for my new dog immediately because I spent so much money on medical care over the life of my previous dog. I have to admit some of the medical decisions I had to make were based on money (what was affordable and what was not), that I am convinced I may have compromised the quality of care my pet received. I don't want to have to make a life or death decision based on money with my new dog. The deductible is easily met and the reimbursement rate is great. The service ASPCA provides is efficient and problem-free. The annual premium is automatically billed to my credit card so I don't really notice it. What the premium breaks down to monthly might be considered a somewhat significant expense to some, but when a medical problem arises with my dog, I don't even hesitate to have her checked at the vet. I almost think, "bring it on" because I know I'm covered. No medical catastrophe will be a death sentence.

Injured pets can be expensive to cure.
We have three dachshunds, which is a breed prone to back injuries. We also provide them with preventative care, annual dental work, etc. Petshealth coverage allows us to keep our dogs healthy and, in the case of our Toby, who suffered two herniated discs, allowed us to focus on his recovery rather than the cost of the two surgeries he required. Toby is now 14 years old and truly a joy every single day. We wouldn't have an uninsured pet, ever.

Easy to Submit Claims
My dog Tucker is a Welsh Cardigan Corgi, 12 years old and in good health, but when my husband died last year and my income was drastically reduced I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to afford the vet bills that I knew would be coming up in the next few years. I purchased a policy on Tucker last year and since then he has had anal gland surgery (very expensive) and a serious illness. I haven’t added it up but I believe I am in the black or at least even with the premiums paid versus claims paid these last two years. I especially like how easy it is to submit claims via e-mail and how they are handled promptly by the company in a fair manner. The only thing I would change would be the “pre-existing conditions” clause every year. Some of these illness are long term or overlap the policy anniversary date and it would be most helpful to have them covered—if they began while the insurance was in effect, of course. I recently acquired a four year old “mutt” and one of the first things I did was insure her with ASPCA Pet Insurance. I hope I don’t need it, but . . . .

Overall Satsified with Product
The speed with which claims are processed is excellent. It is confusing about what services are covered at what level of coverage because when you are at the vet you obtain the services they suggest. Has resulted in some "surprises" in the size of some reimbursement checks.
Staff are always courteous and professional. Keep an eye out for claims where they want info. from the vet as they never seem to get it! If you don't follow up with vet or send the records yourself you will get frustrated. Personally, it's most likely a vet issue because they've already been paid; where is their motivation to send in requested records?!
Have had the plan for over a year for our first puppy and gladly added for our second a few months ago. Would suggest for anyone with a pet but especially dogs. Puppies are REALLY expensive with vaccines, little "issues" here and there, and sterilization that you will easily spend $1000+ the first year. Having the coverage for reimbursement has been nice.

Very Pleased
I received my puppy in August and signed up with Embrace that November. I must say that I am very pleased with them. There were a few issues with my address (I live in a PO Box village) but they were kind enough to send an apology gift certificate to Starbucks. Once I signed up for direct deposit, the claim returns were in my account the very next day. The are efficient, kind, and caring. Definately recommended!!

what good fortune it was for me to cover my two do
My Jack Russells' ilness followed on the heels of my rescue mix terrier. Both had scary bouts with gastroenteritis, the cause of which noone knows. the expense only increased the stress . I had never submitted a claim and, quite frankly, I didn't have high expectations for a reimbursement. I sent in my paperwork and was really surprised and
Pleased with the reimbursement that came within a few weeks. I've since
Encouraged many friends with pets to get on board with this coverage.

Great Service and Prompt Payment
My cat has been battling Lymphoma the last 2 1/2 years. During that time Embrace was prompt (within 24 hrs) in sending me an email acknowledging that my claim was received and like the acknowledgment stated I got my payment within two weeks. Sometimes in one week. Embrace has been nothing but professional, prompt and courteous while we struggle with along with our cat to treat her illness.

Unhappy with excuses.
I am not happy at all so far with Embrace. They began by requesting far more information about our new puppy than any other insurance company. I have a cat insured with VPI and they have paid all claims from the very beginning for that animal. Additionally, Embrace has a two week waitiung period after you sign up when there is no coverage at all. They have claimed that vet visits after the two week period were during the two week period, etc. Furthermore, you deal with several differnt people who all want more information on the same issues. Its like the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing. Very dissatisfied so far.+-

Clearly explained, fair assessment of coverage
I have had experience with several other pet insurance companies. Yours is by far the best service so far. Katie's vaginal labial surgery came soon after we joined the plan. It was great to get a quick reassurance that you were working on our claim, a very clear summary of the costs we submitted, the costs you covered, and the reason for a small amount not allowed. There were no surprise reasons for noncoverage, no ambiguities, and no charges unfairly disallowed. I really feel that I can trust your company to live up to your promises and deal promptly and fairly with my claims. Thanks for great service so far! I will recommend you to others. I only wish you had plans for senior cats and dogs.

Best Dog Insurance ever!
Our dog was diagnosed with Pulmonary hypertension, PDA, Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia and other complications secondary to these over 6 weeks ago. His tests and medication alone have been about $20,000. Trupanian has been a lifesaving angel and have covered over $17500 of this amount. Before we got our first claim cheque, we thought that dog insurance was a joke and the company would cover barely anything. We were wrong! While Trupanian does not cover consultations, they have covered 90% of the cost of procedures and medication. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Trupanian to all dog lovers and owners and are very grateful for their servces.
