Great follow up emails while waiting for reimursem
This was the first time I made a claim on my chocolate lab, Bonnie. We discovered she had bone cancer in her leg and had to have it amputated. I was devastated but the people at Embrace were very kind in their manner and explained very clearly what my coverage was. Being the first time I had made a claim, it took about 3 weeks to get reimbursed, but friends who also carry Embrace had warned me about the delay the first time. After all your pet records are with Embrace, they say reimbursement is always within 2 weeks.

Most Excellent
I chose Healthy Paws because they didn't have incident caps or pay schedules and they were just as competitive if not better priced than other popular insurers for the same coverage. From my very first phone call asking policy questions through my current covered situation, they have been extremely knowledgeable and competent answering my questions. I have a 4yr. old German Shepherd that was diagnosed with Lumbo Sacral Instability. My Healthy Paws plan is 90/10, with a $100 deductible. I have not had one HEE HAW or BUT about his claim. I have been covered for his diagnoses, X-rays, MRI and his Previcox medication. The paper work is very easy to submit, no jumping through fire hoops to only be denied later.
These people care about your pet, they’re pet owners themselves. The staff are enjoyable to chat with and could probably help you with information leads if necessarily.
This company should be your first phone call to get a quote from. Recently they have changed their lifetime payout from $25,000 to no limit cap at all.

Wonderful company
I have all 3 of my cats insured with Pets Best. They are a vast improvement over VPI - there really is no comparison as VPI was terrible. Pets Best is always fair and their turnaround time is very fast. They communicate with me and let me know the status of my claim.
One of my cats had to have a benign tumor removed last year. This was expensive and they paid promptly. I have recommended them to all my pet owner friends who are very happy with them also. I will continue to do so.

It's Like Car Insurance
Yes, Pet Insurance is like Car Insurance. Hopefully you will never need it, but if you do, you'll be glad you have it. In March of 2010, I decided to get insurance for my seven year old beagle, Tulip May. Luckily, other than allergies, Tutu is a healthy dog. Eleven months elapsed and I hadn't needed to submit any claim. But while waiting in the lobby at the dog groomer's, Tulip snagged her nail on my coat and ripped it significantly. So much so that blood dripped all over the place. Thankfully, the groomer was able to stop the bleeding. But she also could not groom Tulip that day and suggested I immediately go the vet's office to have her treated. Needless to say, I was a mess. Tutu needed to be anesthesized, have her nail clipped all the way down, and placed on an antibiotic to avoid infection. Here I was, at the end of the my inital year of insurance, having to place my first claim. Needing some guidance, I contacted customer service, faxed in my claim, and had received an 80% refund check in less than two weeks! Fast and easy. As an aside, I also like that part of my policy remittance goes towards animals in need. My two suggestions to ASPCA Pet Insurance would be that they institute a policy more dedicated for pets in their middle years. Generally, after the age of five, dogs are considered "seniors," and most insurers only offer limited wellness and/or illness policies, if at all. They basically just cover accidents. I would further suggest something wherein

Trupanion kept their promise
Trupanion promises to reimburse quickly once a claim is filed. One of our cats became very sick and we had to file a claim. It took only about two weeks from the time when they received it until we received the check for the reimbursement in the mail. That is indeed very fast. I also like that they do not raise the premiums for the pet getting older. The premium is based on the age at enrollment. We only had one adjustment for general cost increase so far, with slightly over 2% reasonable.
The only reason I did not give a ten as a rating is because they do not cover some of the fees veterinarians charge, but which are unavoidable (examination fees). How else can the animal be treated unless it is examined? However, compared to the other costs that can hit you for a treatment the fees are usually the much smaller part.
Overall great service and a great philosophy

Wow! What a surprise!
I wish that dealing with health insurance issues for myself were as easy to deal with as it has been with Healthy Paws! I have always been skeptical of health insurance for my pets, but when I got Gus a 9 week old St. Bernard I thought that I would re-think the issue. After reading a lot of reviews and doing a lot of research, I decided on Healthy Paws! At 9 months he had his first medical emergency. Literally a day after the company received all the initial medical history and invoices, I was notified a check was being mailed! I am so glad I not only made the decision to insure Gus, but a better decision was to decide on Healthy Paws!

Awesome Company! We love AKC Pet Healthcare
We bought this plan when are little girl was just 12 weeks old. She is now approaching six. AKC PHP has been there for every little and large medical event in her life. We are reimbursed promptly (less than 2weeks from claim), we have never been denied any claim. It is so comforting to know when our dog is sick we afford her the very best medical care thanks to AKC PHP. We recommend this insurance to all our friends and family.

Case they have a catastrophic illness. So far the worst
Thing that has happened has been that my dog at something
That made him sick and he and to stay at the vet overnight.
It has not paid for itself yet, but it gives me peace of mind that
I won't have to worry I my pets get seriously I'll.
