We've had Trupanion health insurance for our dog for 2-3 years. He had been very healthy, but developed cancer. He subsequently had 2 successful surgeries. Trupanion paid most of the cost of his treatment. They reviewed the case promptly, and paid the insured amount within a couple of weeks. Excellent coverage for the cost of the policy and super service. A nice feature of Trupanion is the ability to adjust the deductible and rate to suit your finances and the needs of your pet(s). After having 2 cocker spaniels with no insurance and thousand of dollars later, I learned my lesson with the new puppy Sadie. We had her for a month and she ate everything she could. After 2 monthes they found she had a very sensitive stomach. With a pile of vet bills, we only had to pay a small part and the insurance paid the rest. What peace of mind we have taking her to the vet now that we are insured.

Embrace has provided the most personal service to us and has been wonderfully helpful for the three years since we adopted our dog. As newcomers to pet insurance, we have found it to be a wonderful experience through Embrace. We receive personal communications about claims and our policy and any changes and every inquiry is well received and promptly handled. We also love having the wellness plan as it saves us money year over year in caring for our pup.

First phone call to determine they received the claims from the two medical providers. I followed up with both providers and they immediately re sent the claims. A second call to check on the status, they said it would be processed immediately nothing else was needed. I called a third time to check on the progress and was told that they needed 12 months of medical records from my vet. I was annoyed bur called my vet and they were sent the same day. There were two providers, I received one check and they took what they considered standard cost and then only 80% of that. Which resulted in only a 67.95% of the actual bill. I called a fourth time and was told the claim in the claims department and would be processed. Claims does not work on weekends. Why both claims were not processed together is incomprehensible as the illness was tied together. Each customer service person I spoke with appeared to be less competent than the person before. If ASPCA is one of the best, we are in trouble.

I'm very pleased with Embrace thus far. The claims have been treated fairly and quickly with courtesy. This is my first experiance with pet insurance and I pretty much went with the maximum options. We had a cat that had a rough year with an indoor accident and then cancer. We did not have pet insurance for him and certainly wish we would have. I decided with the two new cats, (all our cats have been rescue animals from the SPCA), we would have the pet insurance. I researched this subject very extensively and found Embrace to be the best with the most options and fair pricing.

The customer service and personal attention has made a world of difference in this pet insurance. We had originally signed on with VPI Pet insurance that came highly recommended. However, the difference with Embrace is that this insurance company cares! Thank you

Claims are always paid in pretty quick time!!

Our 3-year-old pitmix suffered heat stroke this summer and almost died. She spent two nights in a local emergency hospital and four nights at a veterinary teaching hospital. The cost was around $3,500 and our ASPCA insurance covered about half of that. The claims were processed promptly and we received our check within a month or so after submitting them. This was MUCH appreciated.
