We chose to start her on allergie gtts. from Hexta with is a relatively new alternative to the cytopiont injections or allergy shots which can be dangerous We feel it will enable her to overcome her allergies instead of just managing them with less potential for side-effects in the long run and provide a more cost-effective alternative Thank-you so much for your inquiries as to how Gracie is doing We are trying to get her stabilized on the best possible regimen to ensure her well-being and safety Cherie and Gracie forever ....lolollololo

We have had pet insurance for a long time. Some years it doesn’t pay itself back but I never want to have a huge vet bill that I can’t afford. With VPI you know you’ll get something back. With our dogs always getting into things and being allowed to run around the desert, you never know what’s going to happen. Recently, we found a small tumor on Pips underbelly. Doc removed it and sent for testing. VPI reimbursed us over $800 dollars and all but $50 of the total bill. This has happened before on another big claim. We are grateful for coverage and a company that actually holds true to its side of the insurance bargain.

If you have ever met Piper, (or ever watched one of our videos) you know she is a crazy, rambunctious, maniac bowling ball of a dog who constantly runs around, barks, jumps on everything, smashes into cabinets, and then rolls over for you to pet her belly. So when we found her silent and shaking in the kitchen 2 weeks ago, we knew something was up. The hardest part about caring for animals is that they can't tell you what hurts so its often a guessing game of trial and error to help them feel better. And when you have a tough little meatball like Piper who is active & alert, even when she isn't 100%, its even harder to know what's working and what isn't. For those of you following Pipers story, we finally got to the bottom of her symptoms yesterday after a second trip to the neurologist to get an MRI. She's been walking crooked (albeit with a really cute head tilt) for the last week, and even though she as in good spirits, we just knew something was still off. Her MRI revealed a nasty inner ear infection that had burst her ear drum and the infection has started to "leak" into her brain. I know. Sounds scary AF. And it is. But luckily, we think we caught it just in time, and after 8 week on antibiotics and steroids, she should be ok. (All fingers crossed, prayer & good vibes sent please). I also want to do a shout out to @gohealthypaws Insurance. I have debated over the years if pet insurance is worth it, but I will say, in a moment like this, when you are about to spend thousands of dollars on tests that may or may not work, I was really grateful we had great insurance and money was not one of the deciding factors. Because, honestly, if we didn't get that MRI, we may not have known what was going on in time to treat it effectively. The difference between being able to give her the very best care and "waiting a few weeks/days to see how she improves" quite literally saved her life.

My experience has been great, very fair and I will continue to keep the insurance. I would recommend giving it a try. The deductible is reasonable as well as the reimbursement rate. I have saved money in the long-term.

Your mobile app is really great and makes filing easy. I filed the costs to end my pet's battle with cancer, euthanization. I honestly didn't know if any part was covered so I was relieved when I learned some was covered.
