Outstanding in every way!
I got Arlo last December as a Christmas gift. He came from the Southwest Washington Humane Society and was about 3 years old. After a month or so after I got him, he developed loose stool and blood in the stool. I took him to my vet and she recommended diet change. I tried that for a few months, but his condition didn't change. The vet said he needed to go to a specialist and get a colonoscopy. The specialist found that Arlo had colitis. He prescribed an antibiotic for a few weeks and Arlo is all better and doing great. AKC paid the full amount of the maximum on my policy ($1500) so I only had a few hundred dollars to pay on my own. I will never have another pet without insurance. $1500 is a lot of money for a retired person, so I'm so thankful that I had the insurance. Thank you AKC-PHP, you're great!!

Peace of mind
I've thought of cancelling because my paycheck hasn't kept up but then I think the day I do will be the day my dog needs it most. I've paid over $1200 when my 4 inch pup ate an 8 inch tube sock and over $900 when my daughter's dog got hit by a car. I've received reimbursements for treatments that I'm very grateful for. I will continue to pay for the peace of mind.

After 6 years, we are still very satisfied
The service is very good at Embrace. Every matter is handled with professionalism, kindness and although there was a slight delay, more timely then any human health insurance. I did get an e-mail explaining that there was a delay, and the reason. I consider that excellent service. My veterinarian call me to ask my opinion of Embrace, how it worked and what he could do, if anything, to make sure he was filling out the paperwork correctly. I will follow-up with him to make sure he understands how pleased we are with Embrace.

ER visit
After having ASPCA pet insurance for years with no major incidents, our dachshund had an "edible teeth-cleaning treat" become lodged like a cork in his intestines. The $5,000 claim was processed promptly and with the 80%reimbursement we were able to pay a good portion of the credit card bill when it arrived. I had a positive experience with the reimbursement process. I am concerned about the pre-existing clause should our dachshund ever face an injury or illness that carries over the policy renewal period.

Extreme Rate Increase
I am extremely disappointed in Trupanion... I did my research ahead of time, came to this site for reviews, and decided to enroll my 3 bullmastiffs under this policy. Bullmastiffs were 6 years, 8 weeks, and 7 months when I enrolled them... Up to now, I had been extremely satified with the policy... However, I was notified on each anniversary date of my bullmastiffs policies, the price increase doubled!!! My one policy was going from $55.37/mnth to $105/mnth for the same coverage.. My other 2 policies would be going from $39.54/mnth to $77.15/mth.. This is EXTREME!!! I understand the need for these companies to raise rates but this increase is WAY TOO MUCH. When speaking to a representative, I was told that I was able to adjust my deductible but the price did not come down that much... So, right now, I have moved 2 bullmastiffs to Embrace and the 3rd bullmastiff will be moved once all claims submitted have been resolved. Very disappointing.....

It takes the pain out of the vet bill
I was quite worried about my dog and what was srong with her. I would have taken her to the vet (we were on vacation at the time) in any case.Tracy was clearly uncomfortable. But it really helped to know that I would not have to pay the entire bill. And luckily she got over the esophagitis in a week.
