a must have for pets
We had three pets all with major issues. When we got Max a boxer we decided to get pet ins. He got hives from something and trupanion paid the claim. You never know what will happen. Patti

Very Pleased
This is my second check that I received from Embrace. With vet costs being so high, it is great that I can get some relief from this insurance company. I will be staying with embrace for as long as I own this pet, and all future pets.

Reliable, fair service
This was at least my 7th or 8th claim for my 2 dogs. I have always found the reimbursement to be fair, the customer service excellent and claims settled in a timely manner. I have recommended Embrace to all my friends with pets. I feel fortunate to have done such a thorough online search that I chose Embrace.

great personal contacts
Initially I was pretty frustrated with getting reimbursed, but part of the problem was that my secretary was supposed to handle the claims and told me that I wasn't covered for various things. Once I started dealing with it myself, I did receive reimbursements. My daughter was just married so I've been really busy with other things, but I intend to be more proactive and I'm sure the response will be good. My only frustration would be that the Vet doesn't fill out the paperwork at the time of service so that it can be faxed and then the insurance company's paperwork requirements get to be a bit tedious.
Bottom line, though: Nothing is more important than caring for your loved ones... kids and pets included!

Our First Claim Was Wonderful!
This was the first time we have ever submitted a claim with your company. It was completely painless and your customer service was so helpful! Everyone was compassionate, informative and polite. When we spoke to our veterinarian about how impressed we were with Embrace, they imformed us that they have never filled out a simpler form and are going to start recommending your company. Embrace would be a model for our governments health care reform.

Thanks for your support
We insured our pets with another company before switching to Trupanion. Within a few months after signing up with them our 12 year old yellow lab became seriously ill, requiring costly and extensive treatment. Unfortunately the treatment was unsuccessful, and our dog passed away. The Trupanion regional representative assisted us in filing our claims, which were approved in a short time. The claims process was easy and straightforward, and Trupanion kept us informed of progress as the claims were processed. Very professional, and very sensitive to the needs of pet owners.

Absolutely Unfair Increase of Premium
After 1 year (exactly 365 days) of enrollment they sent me a Premium Change notification mail: my premium was increased by 2.5 times!!!To keep the same conditions as before I have now to go from $0 to $1,000 deductible.
And the mail conatains the due sentence: "understand that the premium adjustments you are receiving for your pet are not a result of your pet aging or any claims that you have filed". On the phone they expained to me that the increase is due to a study done on the Vet visit increased price: 2.5 times!!!!
That is a SCAM

Doubled My Premium
After having Trupanion insurance for my dog for 1 year I received notification that due to vet costs in my area my premium would be going up. I was shocked, however, to find that it was not only going up, it was more than doubling. I never even had a chance to take advantage of it! I tried calling their 24-hour number. No answer. My policy said I could cancel via email and on the Website. I could find a way to cancel on the Website, and the email came back undeliverable, no such address. When I finally reached them by phone they said I had the wrong policy, that it was outdated (huh? i got it on your Website!).
