Make a sad puppy HAPPY again!
In March 2011 our 10 month old Lab/German Shepard puppy started having loose stool and slight lack of appetite. After about 3 days of this, I took her to the vet and took an exray to make sure she hadn't eaten anything that she shouldn't, no she did not. He also took some blood. Her tests came back fine so he treated her for colitis (bad spelling, sorry). She was on antibiotics for a while and white rice and grilled chicken diet for about a week. Once her stool was solid we slowly added back dog food. She has been fine since. We submitted all the forms to the ASPCA insurance and they paid the claim according to our contract. Well worth having the insurance for the peace of mind, especially with a curious puppy.
Thank you ASPCA.

A year of great service and quick refunds!
I have been with Embrace for just about a year. I have a black lab puppy that I got when he was 8 weeks, and since that time he has had some serious stomach problems due to allergy issues and we have spent a lot of time at the vet and the emergency room. Every claim I have submitted has been handled very quickly, and each explanation and refund has been exactly as I expected per my policy. The customer service team is very responsive to both calls and emails that I have initiated, and questions that I have had have been answered to my satisfaction. I expect there will be some changes to coverage/refunds in the next year, if the allergy issues continue, as they could become a "pre-existing condition" once the policy renews. However, I understand that this is common with most pet insurance, and my overall satisfaction with Embrace will keep me renewing year after year even though "pre-existing" conditions will not be covered.

I LIKE THAT THEY DO NOT PUT A CUTOFF ON YOUR DOGS AGE AS MY PETS ARE 8 AND 9 YEARS OLD. I AM VERY SATISFIED AND WILL CONTUNUE AS LONG AS I CAN TO GIVE THIS BENEFIT TO MY DOGS. CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE

“Real” Insurance for your Pet!
A few years back, one of my dogs was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. Thankfully, we were able to operate and remove the tumor from Buster’s ribcage (a very unusual place for OS to occur), follow up with chemotherapy and buy him more time – so far, four more years! At that time, I hadn’t given much thought to pet insurance, but I wish I had. We racked up bills to the tune of $8,000 (but he’s so worth it!).
Now that I have five dogs, I decided it might be a good idea to look into insurance for my pooches. After doing a good deal of research, I decided to go with Embrace. I was able to customize the policies for my dogs, which I loved. I didn’t have to fit my needs into a cookie-cutter plan. I got to choose what made sense for me – deductible, prescription coverage, co-pay, etc., and most importantly, the plans are affordable.
Buster and two of the others are too old to insure (all are 13), but my two younger dogs (6 and 1) now have policies. I recently got to test the mettle of one policy when my girl Charlie had gastritis.
Charlie ended up having to stay overnight at the vet’s for a few days. She needed multiple x-rays, an ultrasound, blood tests, IV fluids, etc., and round-the-clock care. When she finally came home, she had two prescriptions plus a 10-day prescription diet. The bill – just over $1800. I didn’t have high hopes as far as what insurance would cover (having had an AWFUL experience with ASPCA insurance), but my Charlie was worth it. My vet’s office submitte

claim for Blondie
Blondie was hospitalized after eating an entire bag of Nestles chocolate chips. She spent two days in the hospital. The bill was over $ 1,000. I was reibursed about $ 650. I was a little dissapointed in that so much was discounted. I live about 6 miles from Manhattan and costs are high here. I don't really know if all that is taken in to account. (Although it is the same with human medical reimbursements) The first time I submitted the claim, I was never acknowledged. I guess it never made it to a desk. Once I resubmitted it, it was addressed immediately.

Trupanion just raised my rate by 62%. 1st year
I just got a premium notice that my premium went up from $41 to $66 month. My dog is 1 year old. I had a claim for $130 paid. They told me on chat that they have not raised premiums since starting in 2008. They should raise rates of 3-4 year policy holders now, and gradually raise rates as you are with them. They lie when they told me today they don't raise rates based on age of pet or claims. I don't thing vet bills have gone up 62% since 2008. Don't get scammed by Trupanion. You will be sorry after 1st year.

Compassionate Team of People
Keeva, our 4 year old Olde Victorian Bulldogge tore her cruciate a couple of years ago .. she needed a patella repair as well and her
insurance covered 80 per cent ... because she is not dog friendly I used to take her out late night to potty .. two nights after she had the surgery she tried to bolt after a neighbor's dog that was passing by .. trying to restrain her with her harness, she hit her knee on the pavement .. blood shot out and at midnight I was in the emergency clinic with her .. fortunately the stitches didn't rupture but they had to sedate her to clean the area and rebandage it ... Trupanion covered the cost ..
.. this past January Keeva tore her second cruciate and her other knee
needed repair and the surgery was 80 % covered including the fancy haircut ... all
the representatives I have spoken with have been very kind and caring ... when my daughter got her first puppy, a Chihuahua last month we insured her with Trupanion with no hesitation .. I love that they have 24 hour phone service, there is always a friendly helpful voice on the other end.
Thank you Trupanion for your excellent service and genuine compassion for Keeva ..

ASPCA Pet Insurance Puts My Mind At Ease
Sweet Baby Girl is my chocolate brown Toy Poodle, and my baby. She recently had a bout of "something" and was just not herself. Long story but finally an X-ray was taken and revealed inflamed bowels. She went on medication and is back to her adorable self to the tune of over $500. This claim has not yet been paid but there has never been a hassle on the other two submitte; just fair and timely payment. Being in the real estate business in California, the past few years have been a little lean money wise, so it's comforting to know that I have insurance to cover these types of situations :-)

Best Investment Ever
I have always been a dog owner and never invested in dog insurance until my last doggie pasted away, the medical bills were outrageous but we did everything we could to help him out. The vet asked us if we had pet insurance and we said no, he strongly recommended it if we had any other pet.
I rescued two jack russell's and immediately enrolled them in this pet Insurance. I was a skeptic but I was really impressed when I had to take them in to the vet and they paid my claim in no time. The only draw back, is that you must have the doctor fill out the claim when you first take them in to expedite the claim. This I learned after the first claim and it really has paid off and I have recommended it to all my Pet Loving friends. Trupanion is well worth it.
