Thank Heavens for ASPCA Pet Insurance
I decided to get pet insurance when my husband and I adopted our first puppy at 3 months old. We adopted a puppy from a rescue and within 24 hours of getting the puppy home it came down with Parvo, once recovered from Parvo he got Kennel Cough and then rounded out with a bout of Phenomena. Needless to say he earned his name, Murphy's Law. After we nursed our little guy back to health we looked into various pet insurances (thinking if the beginning was any indication of this dog - we needed to cover our bases). ASPCA is the best pet insurance out there (even better the the insurance our Vet recommended.) Before signing up I was able to call and talk to someone about all my questions and walk through a couple scenarios ( this enabled me to see which insurance was easiest and I got the most money returned to me). ASPCA won out my a landslide. Just in time too, as our puppy got fixed he was allergic to some of the medications that were prescribed and then shortly after got bit by a tick that caused some awful temporary paralysis. These unexpected claims were sent off, responded to in a quickly manner and then we received money back. We even got a phone call from a ASPCA representative to check in with us to see how Murphy was doing - they noticed we had a few claims recently and wanted to insure Murphy was better and that he was receiving everything he needed. All in all ASPCA has made owning a high maintenance dog, somewhat easy!

Embrace is the best
I never thought that I would need to use my Pet Insurance when I first signed up. Both of my danes were healthy. But when I found out that one of my babies was sick Embrace came to my rescue. Health insurance is costly whether its for humans or pets. The people at Embrace really understand what you go through as a pet owner. I can not say enough about them

Trupanion is really great
I was so distraught when my puppy had an accident and had to get knee surgery - it was an emotional and financial strain. But, it was so nice to know that Trupanion was there every step of the way. The customer service is first class, they are 100% responsive and they truly covered everything they promise to.

ASPCA Insurance Review
My 13 year old cat had a ruptured anal gland. I took her to the 24 hour emergency vet first, then followed up with a visit to her normal vet. I was reimbursed almost completely for her normal vet visit, but the emergency vet had some pretty high fees, so not everything was covered to the 80%. That's ok, though, I was glad to get back at least part of the money I had spent. I did feel like I needed to keep checking on the reimbursement though, because it took quite a while to get resolved.

Wonderful plan with caring people following up.
My puppy cut her leg open at 5:10pm, just 10 minutes after my vet closed! Of course! So off we went to the emergency hospital where we waited to have her stitched up.On the way there I was so upset, worried about how much money this would cost when my husband reminded me that we now have insurance coverage and not to worry.
What piece of mind!
The moment we went into the examination room and saw the doctor the first thing out of my mouth was - whatever it takes, do it to make her right!!!! Oh did that feel good.
When we sent in our claim, not only were we given a follow up phone call to see how our pup was doing, but to explain what was being covered as well.
After our vet had sent all the records in to Healthy Paws we were contacted once again by a lovely representative who told us that we didn't submit a claim for some meds that we had gotten for the puppy some months before. Who knew? They read the records and said for us to submit them and we would be receiving a check back for them also...
So we did just that.
Then another follow up call to check to see how the puppy was doing? Really?
My health provider wouldn't think of doing that!
Not only am I thrilled to have this coverage but I feel lucky that we picked the right provider!

Totally covered!
Thank you so much, Pets Best, for covering the full 80% of Mason's very expensive heat stroke scare. My husband and I are amazed how fast and easy the process is for filing all of our claims but have been particularly impressed with this one (over $2k). If only insurance for us humans were this simple!

Couldn't imagine anything better!
After incurring many thousands of dollars in surgery and other health costs over the life of our yellow lab, we vowed that never again would cost play a role in determining how (or if) to treat a sick pet, and so determined to purchase health insurance from the outset for Maggie, our standard poodle puppy. After doing on-line research and discovering that there are clearly very significant differences between pet health insurers, we narrowed our choices to 3 and, ultimately, selected Healthy Paws. Soon after, we added Jetta, our (then) 11-year old poodle/vizsla mix (we were pleasantly surprised at the modest cost of insuring a healthy but no longer young dog).
One year later, the experience has been outstanding on every level. For one, the claim submission process is incredibly user-friendly. (If we concentrate, we can actually do it ourselves without any help from Maggie's & Jetta's feline siblings.) Within a day or two of submitting a claim Healthy Paws sends an email acknowledging receipt and a couple of days later another advising that the claim has been processed with a breakdown of the reimbursement. Our experience has been that a check is in hand in less than a week.
The staff is extremely professional and caring and clearly loves animals. After submitting a claim for a leg injury suffered by Maggie, we received emails inquiring after her recovery, wishing her well and affirmatively suggesting that we submit claims for some earlier medications which showed up on

Hats off to Healthy Paws
Healthy paws pet insurance is fantastic! They have customized claim forms for your pet and reimibursement is almost immediate. Once we submitted our claim and it was accepted and approved, we received our reimbursement check within 3 days. They are quicker than our "human" health insurance.
