Purchasing Peace of Mind
When other pet insurance options were not available to me, it was Petshealth that gave me and my dog the chance to get the best medical service for my dog. The dog I have now is the second pet I have had insured by petshealth. I would recommend anyone who has a pet to go with this excellent company.

Absolutely The Best!!!!!!!
i've had dogs my whole adult life and my dogs have always had insurance. From my experience, Pets Best is truly worth the investment bar none.
Don't waste your time with other companies, because I've researched and / or used them all. No other company provides the reimbursements that Pets Best does, not to mention the fact that I don't have to wait for a check to arrive in the mail - they offer direct deposit and process claims FAST.
If your animal has an issue, you pay a co-pay just like all the others. One huge difference with Pets Best is that if your animal is EVER seen by a vet for the same condition again, no co-pay is required. This is huge! The others make you pay the $50 or $75 co-pay each time there is an event. Pets Best really saves you money over the others.
They have great customer service as well. Additionally, if you send or fax in a claim and you think something was overlooked, they'll fix it. No problem at all.
Totally worth the money!

Can't say enough good things about Pets Best
Pets Best was highly recommended to me by friends who are in "know" ~ and they couldn't have been more right. You can actually call and talk to a person if you want. Placing a claim was easy, and they have been extremely fair about reimbursements.

I love trupanion! It's a life saver!
One Saturday morning my english bulldog, hogie, woke up withsigns of a bladder infection. he was straining to pee and ina lot of pain. I took him into the vet immediately and theydid a urinalysis which of course would take a day to get results back from the lab. In the meantime, they put him on antibiotics and pain meds. On Sunday morning things were worse though! There were blood clots on his blankets and he was dribbling blood out of his little penis!! I rushed hogieinto the ER/Specialty hospital. To make long story short, hogie ended up having to stay there for 11 days with 24 hourcare. After x-rays, ultrasounds, an exploratory surgery, andmuch more, they discovered he had a VERY rare toxic reactionto antibiotics that he had been on 3 weeks earlier for an ear infection. It was explained to me that during the exploratory surgery, the board certified surgeon discovered that hogie's bladder and liver were necrotic. This toxic reaction to the antibiotics was killing these organs and that is why he was bleeding internally. Well, if it wasn't for Trupanion insurance, I would have had to put him down because I would have in NO way been able to afford all this. When all was said and done, hogie's bill was $12,000!! Afterpaying for the initial examinations at both vet hospitals and my $500 deductible, Trupanion paid 90% of the bill with no questions asked!! Not one! When I called to figure out what I needed to do to process the claim, they explained

Peace of Mind
When purchasing health insurance for our then young golden retriever, we did it for peace of mind. If she were ever to have a health crisis, we knew we would never be forced to choose between financial considerations and Sadie's life. We have been fortunate with our girl - no life threatening illnesses. But Pets Health has been more than fair in defraying the often expensive costs of keeping her well. Customer service is wonderful and the company is fair and responsive. As Sadie aged we added a continuous coverage rider, which essentially eliminates the pre-existing condition clause. That has been worth every penny. I highly recommend PetsHealth.

Extremely Disappointed
After searching long and hard for vet insurance, and reading more reviews than a can remember, I decided to go with healthy paws. I am extremely disappointed. I enrolled both of my dogs (F pitbull, Dutch and M pittbull mix, Duke) for coverage. I have never filed a claim with them until recently. My dog dutch ruptered her cruciate ligament. After paying 2,100.00 for surgery I decided pet insurance was a good idea. So when choosing healthy paws I read to make sure that it would be covered if she were to need any other surgeries or if her other knee needed surgery. According to their website it would not be considered a "pre-existing" condition because it was not genetic, but just an injury that occurs. Well when trying to get pre-approved, luckily I had not completed the surgery yet, they denied me. Now I have wasted money on this insurance which I could have been putting into a savings account. In my opinion, pet health insurance is a waste.

Thank goodness!
A couple weeks ago our yellow lab with a history of eating small items of clothing couldn't keep food down for four days. Indications were she might have an intestinal blockage. Of course, we needed to take her in on a Sunday, so our vet was closed. We had to use an emergency vet, and the estimate was $775 minimum and $2200 on the high end. Having insurance gave us the financial stability to be thorough with her care. Two days and $900 dollars later our dog was fully recovered. We spent about $600 dollars total out-of-pocket ($500 of it our deductible). Embrace refunded the rest. I would recommend Embrace to anyone.

They're just like family.
As always, Embrace came through for us again. They tease me in their office that the dogs who know they'll have medical issues always choose us to adopt them.
This time it was our wobblers dog, Dag. His wobblers was pre-existing, so it has never been covered, but two months ago he was diagnosed with Lyme's disease and then two weeks later, tore his ACL. Since he's not a good candidate for surgery, Embrace covered the cost of a wonderful Orthopet stifle brace for him and he's back hobbling around like normal. I'm betting there are lots of pet ins. companies out there that don't cover things like our brace. Thanks, guys.

Great response time
This is my first experience with a pet insurance company. I just wish I had done it sooner. I took Storm in to have a lump checked out and after the needle biopsy came back inconclusive he had surgery to remove it.
My vet faxed in the claim forms, but I had neglected to sign it. The very next day I got an email stating this, so was able to sign a copy of the form, fax it back and about two weeks later I got a check in the mail. Thanks Embrace for following up so quickly and responding to all of my emails in such a timely manner.
