Properly cared for dog
I was warned that white dogs, particularly white boxers could be medical nightmares, particularly throughout puppyhood. Well, Shane is 17 days away from turning 1 and he's had: coccidia, giardia, a rash, and ear infection, an eye infection, enteritis, an abscess on his foot, preputial discharge and 2 weeks ago he decided he wasn't strong enough to do anything but lay down. This lasted 4 days with minor, gradual improvements from day to day but it scared the daylights out of me and he ended up getting 2 rounds of blood work done. The first labs came back very poor and I was sent to Animal Medical Center for a more thorough checkup. Well, by the time we got to AMC Shane was asymptomatic but they ran the 2nd round of blood tests and they were a little better, but still inconclusive. What was conclusive was that he has a heart murmur that I should get a baseline test for and watch as he ages. (Not uncommon in boxers.) All this being said, I'm not sure what I'd do without Embrace. There are a couple things I looked for when comparing the various insurance companies: 1. Exam fee is covered and 2. NOT a per incident deductible. That disqualified 98% of the other companies. I was left with 2 and Embrace had a higher cap on hip dysplasia (which boxers are prone to), so Embrace won .. not to mention Christopher's incredible customer service and knowledge about not just Embrace's policies, but their competitor's policies. In the coming years I am positive Embrace will make money off of

Not too bad, for pet insurance.
Embrace pet insurance is very quick to respond to claims, and they have great customer service. However, like all insurance, there is a never-ending list of "pre-existing conditions" and non-covered conditions. I understand that this is how all insurance works, but I sometimes wonder why I am spending about $1000 per year before any benefits begin to kick in ($35/month + $500 deductible). If anything catastrophic were to happen, I am sure Embrace will come in handy, but in the meantime, I wish there were more affordable pet insurance plans.

Thanks to Trupanion, my lab is on the mend!
When I first heard of Pet Insurance, I had mixed feelings. It made sense to insure pets in the way we insure our other family members, but how necessary could it be? When we decided to add a chocolate lab to our family, we did our research and learned labs can get into all sorts of things in their first couple of years, and can have problems with their hips and cancer in later years. We decided to learn more about pet insurance and after carefully comparing plans, decided Trupanion was the right option for us. That was 7 months ago. Since then, Mugsy has swallowed a tube sock, had ear infections from swimming, and was coming up lame. After several visits and many xrays and tests (all covered at 90% minus the office visit fee), we found out he had a condition that causes the cartilidge in his elbows to calcify and chip away. The poor little guy needed surgery on BOTH elbows and it was going to cost over $4000. Without insurance, we'd have had to either let him live in pain, rehome him to a family who could afford his surgery, or put him down. Thanks to Trupanion, his surgery was not only covered at 90%, they pre-approved it and he was able to get in without us paying up front and waiting to be reimbursed! He's home, happy and healing, thanks to Trupanion. I recommend you to EVERYONE who has or is thinking about getting a pet! :)

Severe Peace of Mind!!!
After reviewing many policies and talking with reps from different companies, I firmly decided on Embrace pet insurance for my dogs and cat. I am so glad I did as it probably was not more than 2 weeks later that I had a very frightening experience with one of my dogs ingesting an unknown substance. One trip to the Emergency Vet Hospital and going over possible costs of treatment, I had so much less financial anxiety because I knew that I had the experience of Embrace with their super friendly and helpful people behind me and I did not have to go it alone. You never know what can happen in a day and thanks to Embrace, my worry level has not vanished but has been greatly tempered. I have used one other insurance company in the past and it was horrible with nothing ever being covered. Embrace keeps you informed and turn-around times are very prompt. In this day and age this is RARE and they have been wonderful. I have told all of my friends as well as the Vet that I take my pets to that this company is very very good.

Awesome
I have not been sorry one time since purchasing Embrace Insurance for, first, my dog Luce, and a year later (last month), my dog Conan. I lost 3 dogs on 3 months whose life may have been prolonged had I had insurance. So when I rescued Luce I made the decision to purchase pet Insurance. Only a few months after rescuing Luce she developed coronary and kidney problem's. These symptoms were noted before her first birthday. After all test my vet could perform were performed she was sent to Cornell Animal hospital. The best veterinary Hosp. in the country. She later developed joint problems, this occurred before she was a year and a half old. Embrace has been wonderful. I always get to speak with a person, and no claim has been denied. I recently purchased it for my year old Aussie named Conan. He has been of perfect health, thank God, but if he does get ill I have confidence Embrace will come through. I started with just the wellness plan, but have since added prescriptions. I purchased their heartworm and flea and tick medicine last month and the $ has already been refunded. Honestly, I had never purchased pet insurance and didn't know anyone who had it so I did some research, chose Embrace, and held my breath. I'm so happy I did. Great price's, great service. For under 100.00 both my dogs receive full coverage. Just another way of being a responsible pet owner.

Well worth the money
I have the plan that covers illnesses/accidents. My dachshaund has had many health issues. The insurance has helped ease the cost of her heatlh care. I have heard there is a supplement you can purchase for recurring health problems. I do believe that would be worth the money too.

Peace of mind.
Good health insurance comes (unfortunately) at a significant financial cost. That is why I rate this a 9 instead of 10. The cost is the absolute most we can pay. On the other hand, the peace of mind that comes with knowing that we could treat Tobi if she was injured or had a serious illness is worth the expense. Tobi is my service dog as well as a member of our family. She is of great value to me and to us. So far it has been our experience that this insurance company pays claims fairly (according to the agreement) and promptly.

We have been with Pets Best for about 4 years now and we couldn't be happier! We have 3 cats and 1 dog and we couldn't live without Pets Best!! Something always seems to come up with one of our animals and having pet insurance through Pets Best has definitely been one of the best things we have done for our animals (and for us!) We would highly recommend Pets Best for anyone with animals!
