Pets Best Insurance is absolutely fantastic...
After adding Casey to our family; I wanted to make sure that his health was taken care of as had it been with our other animals. I don't know why I had this feeling, but had an inclination that taking out health insurance was something which I should do. My husband felt it a waste of money. After Casey was approx. 2 months old I realized that his breathing and overal energy level was not right. Immediately took him to our vet; he was dx. with Congestive Heart Failure and Pleural Effusion. Difficult dx. to accept but with Pets Best we knew that all could be done for him that was possible. He is doing ok for now but realize that he won't live the life he deserves. Pets Best has been the greatest. He was immediately placed on cardiac meds and given approximately 6 mos. I don't have to tell you how horrible that was to hear. However, he has tolerated the meds well and is now 2 1/2 years old. We love him and cherish everyday. Pets Best has allowed us to be relieved of some of the stress of financial issues.

Trupanion thumbs down
We have had a tough time with them - fighting for claims etc. And now they are increasing our rate by 65%. They say they can't help it, but I have never heard of insurance going up that much in one year. And our dog is only one year old. The reason I am on this site is to try and find a better company.

love pet embrace
I have a Yorkie and purchased Pet Embrace for her almost as soon as she came to live with us. When she was a puppy and I a new pet parent we had several incidents where she was into things that would make her sick. She picked up a leaf from a plant to have us chase her not knowing it would make her very sick. We rushed her to our vet and had her feeling better in no time and Pet Embrace was there for us. Another time she was very ill vomiting and had an emergency trip to vet on a sunday and Pet Embrace took care of our claim promptly. This is a great company and I really wish my insurance company for me was this good.

More people should know about this pet insurance
I'm originally from the UK, where pet insurance happens to be very common. I asked around about pet insurance here a few years ago when I got my then kitten, Mila. I was told there wasn't any by so many people I nearly gave up until I saw a flyer for ASPCA insurance, and the rates looked good. Since then, it's saved my cat's life once (a nasty car accident that left him with a broken pelvis and a collapsed lung), and helped cure him from Lyme disease and a gastric problem. The claims forms are easy and the reply is prompt. I'd definitely recommend it, I think it's well worth it.

Too Good to be TRUE!
I purchased my new Pomapoo Bentley from a breeder I located through NextDayPets.com. There was an advertisement and I link for a 30 day FREE trial of Trupanion pet insurance on site for when I got my new puppy. I have had a number of dogs and cats - a number of which have had MAJOR illnesses - and I had always wanted to look into pet insurance. This seemed like the perfect chance! I signed up easily over the phone, and - what do you know - within my first week of ownership, Bentley started vomitting for a full day. I rushed him to an emergency clinic at midnight, and then he was transferred to my regular vet in the morning. Luckily, it turns out that he must have just eaten something that upset his tummy, but it took a number of tests & intreveneous fluids to get us to that answer. My vets willingly filled out the claims forms & faxed them to Trupanion for me.Within the span of a week, I had gotten a notice of receipt of claim, claim processing, and claim completion!! What a pleasant suprise!! Needless to say, I have signed up to continue my coverage after the FREE trail ends!! What a wonderful value and priceless peace of mind for my new baby boy!

Quick Claim Processing - High Integrity
After insuring two cats with Trupanion the past two years, only this month have we had an occasion to file claims.
So far, medical bills on my 14 year old cat have amounted to over $ 4,000 in the past two weeks.
I've read horror stories about OTHER insurers using all types of tricky maneuvers to avoid paying legitimate claims.
I was very pleased to receive notice yesterday that ALL my claims submitted to date with Trupanion have been authorized for payment without any fuss or argument.
They kept to their word and allowed all medical expenses except for a "Consulting Fee" when the oncologist conferred with the surgeon and the intial exam (which is a listed policy exclusion).
If the pending diagnosis turns out to be the FINAL diagnosis (one blood test is still pending) then then treatment for my sick cat may end up getting very expensive.
When I initiated my policy two years ago, Trupanion placed a $ 20,000 lifetime limit on each policy. Even though there was a minor rate increase, I am very pleased that Trupanion policies now care NO LIFETIME LIMITS. They have removed the payout limit entirely. Thank you for that Trupanion!!
I don't know if it's possible to fall in love with an insurance company, but after receiving the notice that Trupanion is keeping their word and will be paying the bulk of medical expenses to keep my pet alive, I am at the least "Starry Eyed" over Trupanion.
I will now be relieved of the financial burden of paying for treati
