Excellent!
In today's world it is unusual to find a business or company that actually lives up to what it claims to do. Embrace is one company that does!
After having my "heart dog" die several years ago from complications of surgery for pancreas issues I never wanted any more dogs. It hurt too badly to lose him and besides, giving good vet care is horribly expensive. Our dog's two surgeries and ultimate care cost us thousands of dollars.
Well, as you might expect, we do have another dog, in fact we have FIVE dogs, all rescues that were abandoned, about to be euthanized and were homeless. So, in light of or previous experience, I thought I would check into pet insurance.
So many pet insurance companies are awful... there are loopholes, this isn't covered, that is an exception, sometimes they are hard to figure out what is covreed and what isn't, etc. I heard countless stories of people who were very unhappy with their pet insurance and ended up dropping it. Then I found Embrace. It almost sounded too good to be true but I thought we should try them. At that point the dogs had no health issues we were dealing with but I wanted the insurance "just in case."
Sure enough, out of the blue one of our shelties developed a heart issue, then a possible kidney issue. We needed a vet cardiologist, special tests, echo grams, ongoing follow up care, etc. Each time, Embrace covered the cost (minus my selected deductible amount) with no haggling, no confusion. Fast, pleasant, easy.

We feel lucky to have insurance
When we moved to the U.S from Belgium we also bring our 12 year-old dog along with us. We know that seeing a vet is much more expensive here in the U.S we purchased Pet Best insurance for our dog Looka. Looka has always been healthy and active so I almost want to cancel her insurance because I thought she will never ever use it. Not until she was diagnosed nasal cancer two months ago. I am amazed by Pet Best send us every check promptly within almost two weeks after we submit all the paper works. We might end up total bill 13,000 with maybe maximum cover 7000. I just felt regret that I did not buy the highest coverage insurance for Looka. I am glad that we can offer the best treatment for Looka because we have PetBest Insurance.

Pets Best is the Best!
I have had Pets Best insurance for 3 months for my Yorkie (6 months old now). I opted for the Best Wellness plan and they truly do reimburse you with 2-4 days of submitting a claim. Plus submitting a claim is super easy on their website. My net out of pocket at the end of the year (right now) is only $58 from the costs they reimbursed me (from her spay, shots, etc.) My dog also had a little accident in which she needed stitches. Pets Best reimbursed me 3 days after I submitted my claim. Its definitely no hassle. I always thought insurance policies were a scam (for people too) but I would recommend insurance to anyone who has a dog. Very reliable, fast, easy to use, and you have the comfort of knowing they will reimburse you 80% (after your deductible) in case your pet has a serious ailment.

Great communication & Super Please so far
I have a new puppy and from my older dog I learned pet insurance was a NECESSITY, not an option. After reading the reviews I went with EMBRACE and so far am VERY pleased with my choice.
The process has been very easy and payments very quick. My vet (Governor Animal Clinic in San Diego, CA) deserves a mention since they have completed all of my paperwork and made the process even easier for me!
I am super pleased so far and am hopefully the process will continue to be as smooth as it has been.

Trupanion gives me relief and comfort
I had did research on pet insurance and found trupanion was the best and its on consumer reports as well. I was weary at first but when Jack hurt his leg we had to take him to dr. browns jacks vet. She did xrays and found (thank god) he just injured his leg and not his hip. She put him on medication. We sent our claim to trupanion and they paid over 2,000 dollars of it minus his deductible and they paid for all his meds till this day. Thats when I knew that trupanion was there for us. When I really realized that trupanion was there for us was on September 2nd, 2011.
Jack went to dr. browns to get his nails cut. We had told her he was acting a little strange so she checked him out and within a few hours he was going down hill all of sudden he barely could walk. I was so scared thats when she told us to get him to deerfield hospital asap and she called ahead. I knew that driving to the hospital I didnt have to worry about the money. Just getting jack there and taking care of him.
We got there they got us in right away and found out the bad news Jack had cancer was diagnosised with Lymphosarcoma. He had to stay in the hospital for 48 hours. I cryed all weekend not knowing what was going on. But I knew through the tears Trupanion was there so my tears were for my jackyboo and not financial.
We sent in the claim for the hospital and within a week they paid over 2,000 dollars I mean come on when a pet insurance company doesnt make you wait and

Excellent customer service from an ethical co.
Having done a huge amount of research with the state board of insurance and on line, I was pessimistic about this company being any different from the one that I tried about ten years ago with my previous dog, but I thought I would give it a try as it is a small investment to insure my two Pembroke Corgis. I do not deprive my pets of any care and treat them like you would a family member. My pets will have the best care available regardless of who pays, so I wrote the policy on both. Reasearch shows that as many as 50% of the dogs that live past ten years of age die of cancer. My prior dog was 15 and he in fact did die of cancer. Healthy Paws did everything possible to make their claim process simple hassle free. They exceeded my expectations in having a streamline claim process to dealing with the most caring and professional people to having the reimbursement processed within two weeks of submittal. Wowl, I cannot get my health insurance on me to do that. This coverage is a must have for those of us that want to mitigate some of our financial exposure in providing medical care for our pets.

Accident insurance
I'm happy with my pet's health insurance plan. It's the most basic plan, accident only. For the price, it is a great deal. The only thing that would make me happier would be to increase the limit amount per fee. For example, my vets exam fees are higher than what my insurance will cover, as are most vet charges (medications, treatments, etc. Since there is already a $100 deductible and insurance only covers 80% of vet bills (as a result of an accident) after the deductible is met, I feel they shouldn't set limits on charges.
