worst insurance ever

I have not had this insurance for the last 2 yrs...BUT i had it for more then 7 years prior to this. I paid my premiums and never had to file claims for the first few years...when i started making claims they were HORRIBLE. I am a reasonable person...i knew (which was ridiculous) that when the new policy renews yearly whatever you treated the previous year would not be covered again because it now becomes preexisting. That being said...my policy period started march 1st. On the 22nd of march that year my cat was diagnosed with stomach cancer..the Insurance company said that even though we didn't know about the cancer...it was there prior to the policy renewal of march 1st and there fore they weren't covering it.. .Technically i should have been covered for that entire year for this illness till the following policy period but they didn't want to pay anything. Needless to say i sued them. They called me the night before the court date and told me i had to prove the cancer wasn't there before march 1st...i told them as i laughed...i'm suing you...you have to prove it was and i have 2 vets that are the practice owners stating there were no clinical signs and we did not know prior to march 1st. Lets just say i won the case without a problem. NEXT..this insurance company pays "reasonable cost" they go to a town with a population of 10 and that's where they get their reasonable cost from. I would like to know where they got the prices they paid me for some of the vet bi

The best out of all the rest.

It gets repeated alot in the reviews, and there must be a reason why. Great customer service, excellent coverage, decent premiums, great pay outs, timely service. I've used others, and they can't even come close to Embrace. Thank you Embrace for your wonderful service, and for caring about our pets as much as we do!

It WAS good

I was satisfied with the coverage and the plan pricing, but they suddenly increased the monthly payments to an outrageous cost. I see other insurance companies almost 80% lower and provide the same coverage with a 9.2 rating. I would go with them if I were you.

Very Pleasantly Surprised

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the service has been that I have received from Healthy Paws. A little over a month ago, my dog woke up with a very red, swollen eye. After 2 vet visits, she was diagnosed with a retrobulbar abscess that would likely require an MRI and surgery (the estimate I received from the vet was for $3000). We decided to try medications first, and in the meantime, I called Healthy Paws to ensure that the MRI and surgery would be covered if it were necessary. The woman I spoke with, Jen, assured me that it would and that she would do her best to make sure it was processed as quickly as possible. It turned out that the medications only worked temporarily, so our dog did end up having to have surgery to drain the abscess (the MRI was not necessary). Her eye is beginning to swell again, so again, we are trying medications and hoping that the abscess does not return. I just put my claims forms in the mail today to file my first claim, but since my initial phone call to Healthy Paws I have received 2 phone calls and an e-mail from Jen checking on my dog and following up with me on her healthcare needs. Additionally after receiving only a fax from my vet, Jen began processing the invoice from my first vet visit to ensure that I would be quickly reimbursed - that is without even officially receiving a claim from me. I researched several pet insurance companies before deciding to go with Healthy Paws, and I am so grateful that I chose them. It is

Would never be without PetsBest insurance!

I have 3 cats, they all have PetsBest Insurance. It has paid for itself 100 times over. My male cat, Snowball, had to have bladdery surgery for bladder stones. The total vet bill was $855.00; my portion of the bill was $167, PetsBest paid $688. I have another male cat, Jake, who has hyperthyrodism. He has to have his blood checked every six months and is on a medication called Tapazole, one month supply of Tapazole is $44.25; I pay $10.00. I only pay 20% of the total cost for his bloodwork. I can go on and on, but just do yourself a favor, purchase PetsBest, you won't be sorry. You do your claims online, and they do direct deposit into your account within 3 or 4 days.

No brainer

Having watched friends spend lots of money on pet emergencies, I promised myself that if I ever got a dog, I would also get dog insurance. I just didn't expect to need it so fast! Zoey, our lab mix, was attacked & bit by another dog when she was 4 months old. The entire ordeal lasted over a month & included several rounds of antibiotics, surgery to debride the wound along with drainage tubes (EEEW) and that well-loved e-collar for 3 weeks. My total cost was $956. trupanion covered 90% of the costs, less the exam fees, less the laser therapy (which they are considering covering in the future since it is so commonly used these days)and less the deductible of $250. I sent all of the paperwork into them on August 18th and had checks for $524 on August 24th. I also heard from the local trupanion representative throughout. The claims process was super simple, I just faxed the forms in and had email responses immediately. I really wish they covered the laser therapy and the follow up exam fees (luckily my vet saw my dog several times without charging me at all), and I wish I had gone with no deductible, but even so, having the coverage paid for itself, the filing process was painless and trupanion was super fast responding & reimbursing.
