Disappointed
My dog was sick for days before a diagnosis of Whipworm. This should not be under wellness but in the core policy. I debated getting insurance for my pug because I had insurance with another insurance company once before for another dog and nothing was ever covered. This was a $600 + bill and nothing was even applied to the deductible. I heard such good things about this insurance and my premium is not cheap.

Customer Friendly and Hassle Free
I have used two insurance companies in the past and the difference was like night and day. Signing up for pet insurance was easy with Healthy Paws. They did not ask for every record out there in advance. I did not have to do any leg work. The forms are pre-filled and they pulled the records when they needed them. They were very clear about what they covered and why. As soon as I submitted a claim they called and asked about my pets wellbeing. As soon as they processed the claim they called me and gave me an explanation of the decision. Within two weeks I had the check in hand. Their customer service is excellent.

Good Pet Insurance
Claim was handled promptly and effeciently. I hope in the future you will allow some discounts or coverage for wellness checkups as that encourages pet owners to take their pet once or twice a year for check up, which is important. I had an illness for my cat this year and also her wellness checkup. Because I went for the illness and submitted a claim, I got a check for the wellness checkup. Otherwise my pet is healthy and the wellness checkup have never been covered. I hope you can correct this. Thanks so much.

A MILLION star rating for Healthy Paws!
I can't begin to express the exceptional level of service, satisfaction and peace of mind that Healthy Paws has given us!
We signed up with Healthy Paws immediately after taking in our 8 week old French Bulldog puppy. We honestly did it as a precautionary measure for the long term, never expecting the need to use it until he was much older when the symptoms of old age would start to show. Boy were we wrong!
All was going well until this past July, when our 10 month old puppy began incessantly scratching his ears to the point of bleeding and hair loss. We took him to the vet only to discover that he had an ear infection. After an exam, ear cleaning, prescription ear drops and cleaner, we walked out with a $244.82 vet bill.
Since this was our first claim, it took a little longer to process because we had to wait for the vet to submit our puppy's health records to Healthy Paws. The level of communication from Healthy Paws during the wait period was better than excellent, informing us as soon as they had received the records. Shortly after, we were contacted again letting us know that the claim had been processed, and we received a check in the mail three days later reflecting a 90% reimbursement after our minimal yearly deductible.
The REALLY amazing thing was that upon reviewing our puppy's records, they had spotted a medicated shampoo prescribed by our vet that we had purchased back in May when we took him in for neutering. The were happy to inform us that we coul

Necessity for all pet owners!
We've had pet insurance for both of our dogs since they were puppies. We've tried several different companies, and we've honestly been happy with most of them. We're currently with ASPCA because their plans best met our budget at this time. We've used them for wellness coverage for the last few years (the level 3 plan), as neither dog has needed much more. I do have to say that our vet is one of the less expensive options in our area, yet the insurance company hardly ever covers their expenses completely, citing them as being "beyond reasonable costs for the area." This is rather frustrating at times, as we then have to pay beyond our deductible and the 20% coinsurance. I can't compare the coverage of other insurance plans in our area, as we've only had ASPCA since moving here three years ago. Recently, one of our dogs got extremely sick and needed lots of expensive bloodwork and tests. ASPCA pet insurance covered much of it (minus the deductible, the coinsurance, and the vet charges they deemed unreasonable), which was extremely helpful to us. The claim submission process is relatively quick and easy, and we had our reimbursement within 2-3 weeks. We were pleased with the process, and we feel it is worth it to have pet insurance for peace of mind in these kinds of situations.

The best insurance plan out there!
I have had my cat insured with Pet's Best since 2007. Prior to that I used VPI. The difference between the two companies is night and day! Pet's Best provides the most comprehensive insurance plan as well as top notch customer service. Reimbursements are easy and fast. They even have a direct deposit feature to get your money faster. I cannot recommend Pet's Best enough!!!

LIFESAVER!!! Literally!!
I truly cannot express my gratitude towards Healthy Paws in one review. We have a 6 month old Labradoodle puppy with a multitude of health problems. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we needed pet insurance as my parents had 2 boys live to 16 and 18 years old. Rooney, my puppy, contracted a nasty bacterial infection from kissing ALL of the dogs at the dog park. He shouldn't have been punished for being so lovey!! Anyways, fast forward a couple months and his frontal sinus and middle ear were FILLED with fluid and gunk. From diagnosis and treatment to finally surgery and recovery, Rooney's care has been the BEST possible because we are able to use Healthy Paws pet insurance. Vets will typically give you care options based on costs, invasiveness, how proactive you want to be, etc and with Healthy Paws, money was no factor in determining what kind of care Rooney would get. We have been filing at least one claim a week for the last couple of months between exams, tests, ER visits and surgery and they are ALWAYS processed quickly... sometimes the vet will fax it in right when we leave the clinic and before we even get out of the parking lot, I get an email saying the claim is in process. That kind of service is AMAZING!! Reimbursement checks get to us in a week or sometimes sooner. Seriously, I can't thank HP enough for providing such great insurance!! Now, there's no cap on how much benefit a pet can receive, so that is such a relief!! We're talking THOUSANDS in vet bills fo
