Thanks ASPCA

Hi started purchasing Pet Insurance from ASPCA back in February. I have had my kitty Mario for 10 years and I'm not sure what made me want to do it now. But thank goodness!! Mario has thrown up her whole life and very recently it started getting so bad she would throw up after every meal. My poor baby was losing weight so I took her to the vet to figure out what was wrong. After tons of diagnostic tests and $2,000 later, she was diagnosed with feline IBD. I got about half of it back from ASPCA. It was a hassle getting the claims forms submitted because the fax number doesn't work there - finally I ended up getting them and e-mailing them in myself. It took over a month to get things resolved, but the customer service people were so nice and helpful and understanding! Still hurt my pocket a little but was much less than if I hadn't gotten insurance! And my Mario thanks you!

Liars!

I would NEVER recommend this insurance company to any pet owner. In the time we had this insurance we submitted two claims and with both claims they gave us any extremely difficult time and paid out nothing. We piad over $58 a month for our precious pug to help with vet bills when they arose and it was a complete waste of money. Although when you initially sign up they promise you the world. None of it is true and I wish we never wasted our money on pet insurance because we were far better off paying out of pocket. Every claim we submitted from a tumor to a rash they found a way to deny the claim and it took months of phone calls, emails and vet letters trying to clarify and still no payout. This companhy is a huge rip off....

Not competive

Had this Pet insurance for 4+ years and when money was tight another reputable pet insurance came along offering the same insurance benefits Pets Best would not match the offer to retain our business relationship. Once policy was canceled before billing date I was charged in my bank and had a hassle to get my money back. Claims were paid in timely matter however the deductibles were very high and insurance only really makes sense if only something SERIOUS happens.

Pets Best is the real deal

Pets Best has incredibly affordable rates, a very simple and straightforward reimbursement plan, and pays claims within 5-10 days for all the claims I have had. Previously I had insurance through VPI, but they were a joke. Theynlimited payments to an annual maximum per type of issue (ie urinary infection) and their limited pay amounts were LESS than a vet charged for even a single incident. I was very soured on insurance due to VPI but now I highly recommend Pets Best to all of my friends.

Pet Insurance Recommended

This is my first claim submitted to Trupanion and I'm very pleased with the result. Submitting the claim was easy and within 10 days I received an email stating the claim had been processed with a detailed breakdown of the payment to be processed.

never enough reimbursement to satisy

Every time we have a big bill from our Vet, it turns out hardly any of it is covered by Embrace. Very frustrating to say the least. Its all in the exact wording by the Vet himself. If there is even the tiniest chance there could be some association with anything pre-existing, or if a physical exam for say dermatitis also included some regular wellness exam procedure... then POOF- there again we have lost our chances of getting a deduction! This has been going on for over a year now! Very very very frustrating. The dog has had like 4 exams for varying problems and every time Embrace manages to weasel out of paying, because it looks like a wellness exam or some fluke possible thing from a "possible" tick (which there wasnt even any proof of...) on and on and on.... I am glad others have had some good luck, but definitely not us.

Dishonest! 100% Premium Increase.

I live in California. My dog Luna is an American Bulldog and she has been insured with Trupanion since she was 5 months old. Last month I submitted the first claim since she’s been insured.Weeks later, i got the rate increase e-mail…I went from $49 to $95!!! They say it's not based on claims you file, and their website and advertising says they only increase rates due to inflation or increase in veterinary costs. There is NO way inflation and veterinary costs were 100% - 400% like other customers have reported. NOW we find out that they couldn't increase rates before because the Deparment of Insurance wouldn't allow it. So, the bottom line is that they didn’t have enough policies in the US to increase their prices, so they kept their rates really low to get customers to sign up until they had enough claims information for the DOI to approve the increase. That is classic bait and switch deceitful business practice, and shame on them for not being clear and disclosing this information to customers from the beginning so we could make an informed decision. They were planning to make astronomical increases to the premiums but they kept promising low rates with minimal inflation increases in the meantime. I can afford $100 a month for my dog. There is no price for me when it comes to her health. The problem for me and what makes me so upset here is the dishonest business practice that was used. Many people like me can afford the increase, but there are others
