Beware of pre-existing conditions after renewal
I hope this company will prove me wrong, but every single thing that they take care of, even eye infections, are excluded in subsequent years policies. Each policy is only good for a year. It is not like human insurance where PRE-EXISTING is defined as PRIOR to any insurance with the company. This company, and most, consider pre-existing as the year prior, so any care you get will never be paid for again unless it is preventive. This includes eye infections, indigestion--in other words things that are not chronic in nature but are one time things--they exclude EVERYTHING on future policies. PLEASE comment on this. Thank you.

I wish people Health Insurance was as good!
My dog, Olivia, was attacked by a Labrador Retriever which is not an even match for an Italian Greyhound! Very Fortunately her injury was limited to a bloody and large skin laceration -- serious, but no ligament or bone damage. It was on a Friday night and local animal hospital agreed to see her on an emergency basis. My priority being the injury and pain I didn't think in dollar signs until they handed me the bill - ouch!
The injury had to be resutured 4 days later - another pricey event. I submitted each claim as they happened and was very pleased with ASPCA's first reimbursement BUT I expected that the second suturing would not be covered. Some days I just love to be wrong, ASPCA again reimbursed my costs very fairly.
Olivia's injury has now healed; having ASPCA Health Coverage hasn't resolved her PTSD but I sure helped mine!

Haven't used it enough, but pleased when I did.
Everyone I've ever had contact with from PetsHealth Care Plan has been very friendly and I'd recommend them to others considering pet health insurance.

Simple claim, and no surprises in coverage.
My German Shorthair Pointer is my constant companion and hunting buddy. On a recent out of state hunting trip, she got sick and started throwing up a lot. Fortunately, I had planned ahead and found a good vet in the area, should the need arise. Having Embrace let me focus on getting my dog the medical attention she needed, rather than worry if I was taking her to a covered provider or not. She's back to her normal self now, and getting her claim taken care of was a simple 1 page process. On this one visit, my deductible was met, and Embrace paid their portion of the remainder, as advertised. As a consumer, I can honestly say that I got what I thought I was paying for, and couldn't be happier.

Claim on Lucy Capotosto
My baby Lucy was throwing up and needed tests done in order for us to see what was going on. I was pleased with the reimbursement that I received for all of Lucy's tests. However, I was just a little disappointed on how long it took to receive payment. I waited two months! I was asked to submit the invoice and bill of Lucy's procedures and come to find out that wasn't enough. My claim was put on hold because you needed to receive the same information from my vet.

Best Pet Insurance Available
My pet is a 5 month old puppy. She is a good puppy but is a chewer. Anything on the floor goes straight into her mouth. I also had a very careless roommate. who has on two separate occasions has dropped a marijuana cigarette on the floor and my puppy ate part of it. My Puppy weighs less than 3 pounds. First time she spent 1 night in the emergency animal hospital. The second time only 2 weeks later she spent 2 nights and 1 day in the emergency animal hospital. Much to my surprise the second time it was marijuana mixed with PCP. My puppy pulled through but I told my roommate she had to leave and find a new place to live. I do not allow drugs in my home. I knew she smoked marijuana for medical purposes but the PCP was too much. I thought Trupanion was going to cancel my policy because of 2 claims within less than a month on a policy I have had for only 2 months, but they did not. They quickly paid both my claims. I have and will continue to recommend them to everyone I know who has a pet. They are great!!

I Love Pets Best Insurance!
I LOVE Pets Best Insurance! I have 3 older dogs and have filed claims on all of them. Pets Best has not only paid on all of them, but they are very responsive with emails keeping me posted of progress, as well as very quick processing of my claims! I really like the concept of paying the 80% on any claim after I meet my deductible. So much better than complicated schedules of payments for various types of claims. I am most impressed with their service! My vet said that they were one of the best that she has known, and I whole-heartedly agree! Pets Best is the best!
