I loved Embrace until......
I actually had to use it. My dog got hit today and suffered a broken leg and I'm not sure what else at this time. In my error I didn't complete a Dr. Health record on my dog. Therefore they won't cover anything not even putting him to sleep until after 6 months, I've been with them for 5 months. His injuries are obviously recent and impact related, nothing pre-existing what so ever. I call it an insurance LOOP HOLE, a way of getting out of paying for their insured. Customer service is decent, the plan affordable and the reviews great. I just can't believe the company in pet care doesn't really care. Very sad my son and I our loosing our four legged family member over a piece of paper.

You are the "Best"!
Everyone @ your company is so kind and caring. When my cat first got sick & the first claim was submitted, you called & took care of everything! It's so great to have someone in your corner that really truly cares. Your customer service truly puts the "Best" in Pets Best Insurance!

Embrace is Wonderful!
I previously used another insurance company but I was quite dissatisfied with their lack of service and difficulty in putting through claims. I reviewed other companies and decided to sign on with Embrace and could not be happier. They have a very high level of customer service and the follow-up is wonderful. I am never left guessing about a claim. I would --and have--recommended Embrace to anyone looking for quality insurance for their furry family members.

I love having ASPCA Pet Insurance. I have had coverage for almost 8 years now. The little I pay in premiums gives me peace of mind that my loving Rottweiler will be well taken care of should any kind of medical emergency arise. The few small claims we have had have been reimbursed in a timely manner. Keep up the good work!

VERY DISSAPOINTED!
Before purchasing insurance I specifically inquired re what the company defined as a pre-existing condition. I specifically asked if a dog had ever had some form of illness/problem but had gone away/been cured and it later reoccured whether that would be denied. I used allergies and ear infectiona as examples. I was informed (and I'm paraphrasing) that as long as the issue reoccurred independently at a later date it should be covered.
Trusting this was true I purchased a policy in October 2011. Sadly, a month later my dog developed 2 bumps on his legs, which initaly the vet thought was allergies/alleric reaction. However, several visits and tests later they determined he had 2 mast cell tumors and he had to have surgery. I submitted the surgery and vet bills re these tumors and they were denied! Re the allergy issue, Pets Best claimed he had symptoms of this condition prior to the policy. Re the mast cell tumors they claimed that the condition had to have started before the policy given "the amount of time such a condition takes to develop?!" Really?! The bumps occurred almost over night and my vet said there is no way to tell how long/when this started. In case you don't know, anything in animals can take time to develop because unlike humans they don't talk and tell you what's wrong nor do you have regular check ups. So basically this excuse can be used to deny ANYTHING because how long does an ear infection or a cyst or a bladder infection, etc. really take to de

excellent
Was able to fax the forms to the claims center. They were acknowledged within 2 days and within the week and I was notified as to what amounts to expect as reimbursement. They do not pay for "consultations"--(the Vets examination necessary before the Vet institutes treatment). Unlike human health insurance, they were true to their word and reimbursed 90% of the bills after I paid my deductible. Took about 2 weeks to received the checks in the mail. The Vets wanted a deposit up front--as soon as we said we had Trupanion insurance, they went right to work. I am so glad we had the insurance! Our Marcus is healthy and happy again due to the excellent and immediate care received. Great investment and peace of mind.

Embrace is Simply the Best
Over the years I have enrolled my pets in several pet insurance providers, from better known to lesser known providers. I'll spare the other providers from my opinion of them as I would like to focus solely on the outstanding service provided by Embrace.
I have a 2 year old beagle who has been reasonably healthy until lately. She has been vomiting constantly and has not been herself. She had to go through a battery of tests and procedures to determine the root cause of her ailment. As we all know the bills start piling up at that point. After several substantial bills from the local Vet and the emergency Vet hospital I submitted my claims to Embrace using their pre-filled claim form. All I had to do was attach the invoices and fax them over to Embrace. I received email notifications the same day I sent in the claims. Embrace sent me weekly updates letting me know the status of the claims process. Two to three weeks later I received the claim . This was our latest claim experience which was the same as all prior experiences with Embrace.
You will not find a better pet insurance provider than Embrace Pet Insurance. I have had numerous pets on no less than 5 different pet insurance providers over the years. Every other provider took quadruple the time to process claims and never lived up to what they claimed to be "covered" ailments. All the other providers looked for excuses not to pay using "breed tendencies" and other creative ways of minimizing claim reimbursemen

Macie
My dog Macie got sick in October. I took her to the vet, which can generate a scary bill. I start with a few services to see if that would make her feel better, which it did. I submitted my claim form and a check arrived a few weeks later.

Not a happy customer - ASPCA ridiculous
THIS IS A SCAM!I have three cats and pay for level 4 insurance for them. Just recently submitted a claims of ($400.00) for my 1yo cat for neutering. After all the "disallowed" item ie blood test, and annual deductible I got $66.00 back.
I too ask them to give me a list of "customary cost for my area in SF" and was told that they couldn't give me this info.
Will definitely shop for another pet insurer.
