Outstanding
I had pets best insurance for about six months before my rott got really sick. My vet was unsure what was wrong with him but he continued to develop different types of symptoms. I had many trips to my vet and to the 24 hour animal hospital. $10,000.00 dollars later, it was finally determined that he had a rare immune disorder and since it was discovered so late, he had to be put down. I submitted stacks of reciepts to pets best and was awaiting some phone calls challenging some of the costs. To my surprise, the only thing I received was $7,000.00 worth of checks in the mail. Pets best made this devastating situation very tolerable for me and I am so appreciative to them for that. I recommend pets best to any pet owner I know.

Amazing, turns a sad situation into a positive.
Purchasing Embrace pet insurance has been one of the best decisions I have ever made for me and my furry family. I have been a customer since I adopted my dog and two cats two plus years ago. I am fortunate to say that my pets are generally in good health but I did go through a rough patch around Christmas of last year. I noticed a lump on my 3 y.o. beagle mix and took him to our regular vet. After biopsy, our vet had no idea what it is, gave us some potential diagnoses, most of which were some wort of cancer. My husband and I were devastated. A specialist visit, surgery, and thousands of dollars later my dog had a clean bill of health. I cannot begin to explain how wonder Embrace was. I remember my first call to my claims manager, she was so kind and compassionate, really turned a negative situation into a positive experience. I don't know what's in store for me and my furry family in the future but I know we are prepared to face anything with Embrace in our corner.

Trupanion is Deceitful
Trupanion's web site and their phone representatives leave off what I think is critical information about their coverage. The Web site, in more than one location makes a point of saying it's important for the consumer to know what is not covered by the policy, and then it lists a few things. However, when I filed a claim for physical therapy for an injury my dog sustained, they refused to pay it saying I needed to have purchased additional coverage for that.
I checked the Web site again and my notes from when I bought the policy. The person I spoke with said hip dysplasia was not covered but she never mentioned anything else. On the Web, in the section where it allows you to compare Trupanion coverage with that of other companies, it has long lists of things not covered by the others but only two things listed for Trupanion -- hip dysplasia and pre-existing conditions.
Why don't they list all the things they don't cover? One woman I spoke with told me that "Well, then, the insurance wouldn't be very appealing." I'm sure she was not supposed to say that, and she soon passed me on to her supervisor who kept insisting "We're not trying to hide anything." Don't believe it. I am reporting them to our state's consumer protection agency.

Worth every cent
Over the years we've had numerous dogs and cats who lived to be quite old, and we've never hesitated to spend whatever was necessary to provide them with needed medical care. When our female Akita became very ill at the age of 13 and a half, it took a toll not only on our family's emotions, but also on our finances over the course of the last year of her life. In just the last month, we spent over $3,000 for her care, before the vets found an inoperable brain tumor that ultimately was more than she could fight. When we adopted our next dog, a border collie mix, I decided to find coverage. After looking around and comparing, I began with ASPCA, though my mother had a different company. Now, almost five years later, we have three border collies covered with ASPCA Pet Insurance. I've always found the service to be responsive and prompt, and the representatives are all so friendly that I never mind calling with questions. The insurance has paid for itself - in peace of mind and in reimbursements.
I noticed that one reviewer mentioned the pre-existing condition issue, and I'd just like to add that there is a simple (not very expensive) rider that takes care of that.
By all means, get ASPCA Pet Insurance for your best friends!

The best investment I've made ever!
My experience with Pets Best is fantastic. I tell everyone I can how much a pet needs insurance these days given the cost of vet care and the great service provided by Pets Best (it far, far, far exceeds that of VPI). It is by far, the best investment I've made for ever!

EMBRACE I LOVE YOU
I need to tell you my story, Maddie our Minature Schnauzer was insured for almost 4 years with VPI. She came down with Vaginitis which would not clear up so our vet did additional lab tests and found out that Maddie had MERSA. VPI refused to change any payments to us other than the Vaginitis even though the diagnosis was changed. I cancelled VPI insurance because of a rather strong disageement.I changed insurance companies to Embrace. I did everything that Embrace requested including giving Embrace all of Maddie's medical records, an orthopedic exam and Maddie was checked by our vet again. Several months later Maddie was diagnosed with MAST CELL CANCER. Our vet bills have sky rocketed and Embrace sent me a check within 15 days or less for approximately $1780.00. I paid a $300.00 deductabe and Embrace sent us a check for 80% of the balance and the bills continue. I fully expect Embrace to continue taking care of Maddie through her illness.

Finally an Insurance Company that Pays!
Embrace is the first company I've used that hasn't bent over backwards trying NOT to pay claims. Petsbest denied every single claim I put through. My dog had a yeast infection in his ears when we first got him, prior to getting insurance. When the infection returned 6 months later, they said it was a pre-existing condition. My cat what drinking and urinating alot. The vet checked her out and said she had never seen a healthier 16 yr old cat. Petsbest denied the claim, again saying it was a pre-existing condition. She not only never had the problem before, but, how was it a pre-existing condition WHEN THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG! So far, Embrace has been good.

Pets Best is the best
I have a 3 year old Westie that seems to always get herself in trouble and Pets Best has been there. At 6 mos old she swollen 3 copper pennies and had to be kept over night in the hospital. The bills were unbelievable but Pets Best was right there.
This year Britnee gave me a horrible Mothers Day, she swollen a raw hide bone. Once again she spent the night in emergency & pets best respond quite fast.
I have recommend Pets Best Insurance to several of Britnee's friends and all are more than pleased.
