Very Helpful

I have never had pet insurance, but due to showing our dog in 4H I decided it may be important now. I searched all over the internet and with others for an insurance with great benefits and affordable (we are a family of 4 with below average income currently and lots of student loans). I found Embrace online and bought our dog insurance which is a good fit for us right now, I also did get the Wellness insurance, which is for shots, etc. we needed to pay for anyway, so rather than paying all at once for shots, etc. we pay a monthly wellness fee and submit claims for reimbursement to Embrace. The Wellness insurance actually lets us come out slightly ahead financially too although we pay up front. What I like the absolute most about the insurance is the help I receive online!! Any question, misunderstanding, etc. is thoroughly looked at and responded too almost always within a day! I really appreciate that! Thank you! I recommend Embrace to our veterinarians as well! I appreciate the flexibility of creating our own plan!

EXCELLENT SERVICE

MY DOG NEEDED SURGERY FOR REMOVAL OF COINS WHICH CAUSED ZINC POISONING JUST BEFORE CHRISTMAS OF LAST YEAR. THE COMPANY MADE SURE I RECEIVED MY PAYMENT BEFORE THE HOLIDAY. I WAS SO PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE.

Ridiculous rate increase

I had one minor problem, which was an ear infection not being covered because it was a "pre-existing condition"...even though it was cured the first time. I was assured that this could be rectified with documentation from my vet, but getting this done from the vet's office is proving to be difficult. At any rate, dogs do get recurring infections! The other issue was the massive increase after one year of service. 28%! I can understand that increases will happen annually, but at this rate, my premium will be over $200 within a few years! The last problem I have with them is the deductible. It is not annual, but per incident. That is a bit much, as well, if the dog has to go to the vet more than once in a year. I am currently negotiating with another company with unlimited benefits, annual deductibles, 10%copay, and they also cover hip displasia! They also assure me that rate increases average around 9% annually, which is much better to swallow!

Wonderful Service and I am Impressed.

When my wife had mentioned buying insurance for our Stella last spring I had much hesitation due to concerns about this type of insurance being even worse to submit and get claims processed than our own health insurance. I thought there had to be a "catch" that would always be found to keep a claim from being paid. HOW WRONG I WAS! We had a surgery performed on Stella and our Embrace contacts kept us informed and were very patient with our questions. Our claim was processed very quickly and a check issued. I am so impressed by the coverage that we received. I would encourage anyone thinking about pet insurance to look nowhere else. Embrace will be our choice for a long time. I know of a few human health insurance companies that could use some lessons in customer service from Embrace!Thank you to all of the Embracers that assisted us. Mel, Natalie and our mixed breed mutt Stella.

So far so good:)

I received six weeks free trial when I adopted my dog in Sept. Thank goodness that I did not need to use it. However, I did sign up a couple days before it expired. Therefore I had not waiting period and did not have to pay the initial member fee.I really have never had a positive thing to say about any other companies, as the plans were insane. When my previous cattle dog was alive. I did end up going with TRUPANION. The price was ridiculous. I stayed with them for 3 months. My dog had NO pre-existing issues. Although I did not make a claim, I left. I found them to be nit pickers to the nth degree! So many people failed to receive compensation. I would never consider becoming a member or any insurance company for that matter. However, due to the fact that i received the 6 week trial when I rescue my boy.. I found myself calling so I could ask as many questions as possible. The agents I spoke too(I called lots!)were so kind and seemed genuinely interested to help me . In any event ,I chose Secure 3.I had my dogs teeth done. I really felt like there must be a trick and I would not be covered at all. I was so happy to find I was getting reimbursed .WOW! They paid 80% of my entire claim. The took my 100.00 deductible off. I ended up getting a good reimbursement. I was thrilled...Then, to top it off, I found out that I had satisfied my deductible and I did not have to pay this again, until next October! I had no idea! I thought I would have to pay the deductible for each clai

Wellness insurance well worth it!

One vet visit nearly met the $200/year amount, so I was very pleased with my timely reimbursement. Regarding the orthopedic examine requirement: I didn't agree with one exclusion they set for Gracie's knee, but after researching the condition, I think they were justified (although premature since she doesn't have any issues with her knees yet). It did make me realize I need to get her weight down and keep her exercising to avoid future issues, so I'm grateful for that. I have already told my friends about this insurance and recommended it highly.

Faith Restored

This was my first time submitting a claim with a pet insurance company. My then-11 month old Bullmastiff, George, developed dysplasia in both elbows which required surgery. Embrace didnt have all the facts initially and denied the claim citing pre-existing conditions. My wife and I continued to provide documentation supporting our case including a letter from our Vet who explained in detail that his condition couldnt have been pre-existing. We did have to go through some frustrating and anxious months of repeated denials and appeals, but finally we received the news we had hoped for and Embrace approved the claim! We've all heard of horror stories in dealing with insurance companies - pet and otherwise - in denying rightful claims. My faith in insurance companies "doing the right thing" was restored and I'm very happy and thankful to say Embrace turned out to be one of the "good guys." Our family is very happy we chose Embrace and will continue to do so for all our future pets.
