A wonderful company
I cannot say enough about Healthy Paws. I used to have VPI pet insurance and they were nowhere near as good. I switched to Healthy Paws when VPI denied a claim for giardia treatment claiming they don't "pay for parasites." Even though there is no preventative for giardia.
I am so glad I switched ! Healthy Paws is a pleasure to deal with.

With Prudent Pet
With Prudent Pet, I was able to easily receive a quote and see all the different pricing options, allowing me to pick the coverage that best fit my pet's needs. I couldn't find this type of transparency anywhere else.

Easy to submit claim but benefits are not great
Claims are easy to submit but there are a lot of limitations and restrictions on what is and is not covered. Additionally, there are a significant number of plan maximums in terms of coverage. Considering how much the plan costs, it should cover more.

Wouldn’t Be Without Nationwide on My Side
I’ve been a policyholder even when it was VPI. Nationwide has given us peace of mind when our dogs needed care. You’ve always been fair and timely. I recommend Nationwide every chance I get.

Completely satisfied
Nationwide has been easy to use for submitting claims and very timely in their response and payments (unlike the reviews I read that said it took forever)
The only reason why I gave a 9/10 star review was that I had to submit a Power of Attorney for Nationwide to discuss the account with my Fiance' who is co-owner of our dogs.

You get what you pay for!
I want to give a huge shoutout of thanks to Nationwide for standing behind their pet insurance. It's a daunting decision to make, choosing a carrier that will help you in your time of need. Our Murphy is a happy and healthy puppy but had an unfortunate leg break at 8 months of age. Between the surgery, vet visits and medications, it was an ordeal. Knowing that Nationwide was behind us at least took some of the financial burden away and we were able to get him the best treatment. Thank you!
