Great company
I never believed in pet insurance because & heard such horror stories about it. A friend of mine did some research & talked me into getting Trupanion. I picked my own deductable which made my premiums affordable. I only had the insurance for 5 months or so when my Pom injured her patella. I submitted a pre-approval claim with all the information they required, & they got back to me in a day or so & approved an estimate of $3184.00. I had the surgery, submitted the final invoice & had the check in a week or two. I was amazed. Trupanion made a believer out of me!! In the future, I will insure every dog I have, but only with Trupanion. I know I probably sound like a commercial for the company, but my experience was that good!!

My dog's Health Plan is better than mine!
My puppy has had a few minor non-routine issues in his first year. My Vet submits the claims for me, and I cannot believe how fast they are processed. I sometimes have the email confirmation that my claim has been received even before I get home from the Vet appointment, and the claims have always been processed within 1-3 days. The customer service team is great; someone always calls (and/or sends an email) when the claim is processed to go over the details and answer any questions. While they do not cover basic routine "maintenance-type" of issues -- yearly exam, vaccines, spay/neuter... these types of costs are expected and budget-able, and I believe this is what keeps the premium down. My premium is extremely manageable -- much lower than other Insurers, if not the lowest for the same or better coverage. I am glad I selected Healthy Paws, and they are there for the non-routine concerns and emergencies.

excellent, caring company.
Very prompt review of claims and very courteous phone personnel. The only difficulty we have had is with fax submissions--for some reason when the veterinarian has submitteed claims by fax they either get lost or are not received. Therefore I have taken to mailing claims.

Grateful
We are grateful that the ASPCA was willing to cover our pug as other companies had turned him down. It is good to know that he is covered in case of catastrophe!

I had a rough start but an excellent ending
I bought Embrace insurance because of the reviews from their customers. The feedback is postive about the insurance, the coverage and customer service. I felt really confident when I purchased the insurance, I found security that my dog would be okay no matter how small or large amount of medical care he needed. Unfortunately I neeeded a large amount of care within the first 5 months after my dog got ran over by a car. Leaving out tons a detail, my claim was first denied than approved. After a little go around, I felt the Embrace Rep. really did care about my dog receiving care. I spoke to several customer care and all where pretty polite even when I was falling apart crying on the phone about my dog's accident. Once the claim was approved I was relieved that my dog could be saved because I could afford to give him the medical care he needed. Without Embrace insurance, I would have no other choice but to put my dog down. Therefore I am thankful for the customer care rep. who worked with me through this hard time. Every since this accident happened, I tell everyone when I am in the vet( alot since the accident) about Embrace, even though the vet pushes another insurance. When I talk to other pet owners I ask them if they have pet insurance, and stress the importance of having them and how Embrace is an idea insurance. When giving my overall rating I would love to give a 10 but I have to be honest, the original denial of the claim was beyond stressful. Therefore I will have t

Ripped off !!
My pup was born with a condition that caused her to have urinary incontinence at a very early age. After numerous tests she required a surgery called COLPOSUSPENSION. After spending almost $7000.00 in vet care we submitted our forms to Trupanion to be reimbursed. They denied our claim for coverage. Why???? Because at the age of 10 weeks our puppy had a bladder infection. She had the bladder infection because the tube that runs from her bladder was mis-shaped like a funnel instead of it being a straight tube which is why she required the surgery. Trupanion said it was a pre-existing condition. Well of course it was pre existing you idiots....she was BORN with it!!! COMPLETE RIP OFF!!
