Our poor little 1 year old lab mix suddenly started vomiting blood on the night before Christmas Eve, the cause of which remains unclear. He needed sedation, IV fluids, labs, x-rays, anti-nausea medications--the works. He started out at our regular vet's office then had to be transferred to the local Emergency pet hospital for ongoing care, more labs and overnight rehydration. He received timely and excellent care in both places, and fortunately he recovered completely over the next few days. Not surprisingly, however, the bill was just under $1000. Thanks to Healthy Paws, we were able to have both vets provide whatever care our puppy needed and knew we'd have much of it covered through his puppy insurance. The claims process is simple, and amazingly, we had our reimbursement check back in the bank within 6 days. 6 days!! I was shocked, especially given that this took place during the Christmas holiday week. This is the best $30/month I could ever spend. We can't thank you enough, Healthy Paws!

Our cat had to have surgery for an intestinal blockage from eating strings. Trupanion quickly covered the claim, for both the surgery and a follow-up visit due to complications. Payment took about 3 weeks I think. But all we had to do was send off the paperwork, and it was approved with no questions.

I have an almost 4 year old lab and believe me he can get into trouble. I've used the insurance 4 or 5 times and it's been great. The claims are reviewed quickly and for the most part I get 80 percent back. I got the well visits too and it's great to be reimbursed for those visits also.I think it's a must for all pet owners.

I actually joined Healthy Paws based upon reviews on this website and everything I have read holds true to my experience. Their payment response time is great, every time I have called for customer service their team has been exceptionally helpful and friendly, and they do honestly care about the well being of your pet. I in fact just received a personalized email checking on how my dog was feeling since I recently submitted a bill for an emergency vet visit. When I received my second Service Dog - a healthy, beautiful black lab, I knew one of the most important things I had to do was research pet insurance. My first service dog had too many pre-existing conditions (since she was a rescue and had health issues when I got her) and insurance wasn't possible at the time. After researching a lot of companies, I decided on Embrace. I made a great choice! In December, my healthy Service Dog was not acting herself. Initial tests pointed to cardiac concerns, but with further tests were ruled out, and medication cleared her symptoms. I was so thankful! She has Crystalluria, but this is manageable. Embrace was there every step of the way with excellent customer service! Thank you!
