I'm a happy Customer

So far I have been with embrace for a couple of years and the customer service has been prompt as well as courteous. Both of my claims have been covered and without hassle. This is the only time I've ever had pet insurance and it's been a favorable experience. Thank you! I wish health insurance for humans was this easy. :-)

Bella needed surgery to repair one leg

The bones in one of Bella's legs did not line up properly after she injured herself. The surgeon had to brake the leg in one place, cut a wedge out of the bone and then reset the leg with the bones properly aligned

Quill emergency financial help

Thanks for offering accident insurance. With four dogs in the mountains, just having some of the costs of an emergency extraction of 30 or so porcupine quills from William's muzzle has helped a great deal. Good to know you'll be there for my pack.

Decent pet insurance that everyone should consider

With economy in its current state, it having Grim insured is one less worry. I believe if you have a pet you need to be able to pay for their care, for me ASPCA Pet Insurance is one of the ways I am able to do so. Grim has had bladder issues and recently had what the vet termed a FLUTD (Feline lower urinary tract disease) and possible UTI. When I submitted the claim to ASPCA Pet Insurance, they were prompt to let me know they received it. It took a couple of weeks for them to let me know that they need more information from the vet. I was not clear on what further information was needed and if it had been something I could have provided when I submitted my claim. I think those things could be better communicated. That being said, they let me know when they received the information from my vet then processed my claim within two weeks of that (it probably would not have taken that long if it had not been right around Christmas at this point [which is understandable that it would take extra time during the holidays]. Only one item of was not covered of the many items on our statement, which was the pill case treats, which is stated on their list of exclusions, everything else was covered at 80% of customary cost. Living in downtown DC, Grim's vet is the closest one to where we live, so what is considered customary and reasonable for our area is at times significantly lower than what we pay, but that is the norm for this area, and a choice we made about which vet

ASPCA coverage for my cat is total peace of mind.

Katie had two trips to the vets and when she calmed down with the treatment, and the diet change I submitted a claim. It was a couple of weeks before I heard, but I did hear shortly and the claim was partially paid as I have $100 deductable.

glad to have insurance

I had pet insurance YEARS ago when there was only one or tow companies out there. I NEVER received a cent with them. Another dog owner recommended Embrace and so far they have been great. They always contact me to let me know the status of my claim. I really like that!

Quick, easy, puts our mind at ease

We had an emergency with our 3 yr old Pomeranian one night, she had something stuck in her esophagus & was clearly choking / could not breath. It was a moment of sheer terror as she began throwing up white foam non-stop & could not control her bowels. Her gums had turned a purple color & her eyes were bloodshot & bulging out of her head. Panicking, we brought her in to the Animal Emergency Hospital & luckily they were able to do a scope procedure immediately which saved her & also, luckily did not further damage her esophagus, which would have required invasive surgery to fix. There was no price we wouldn't have paid to save our little one's life, but remembering that we had pet insurance really helped put our mind at ease & focus on what was most important, helping our pommie recover. Trupanion was very hassle-free, quick & easy. The hospital helped us submit the claim & almost immediately, Trupanion had our checks in the mail. The turn-around time was impressive & they followed up with many emails regarding the claim & to check up on our pommie. No one thinks about pet insurance, but it was definitely worth it to invest in it as it gave us one less thing to worry about in an already stressful moment while we waited for the status of our dog after the procedure. I would definitely recommend Trupanion & am so glad our Vet suggested pet insurance to us when we first brought our puppy home.

Fabulous Experience

It was only a couple of months after we signed up with Trupanion that our puppy Izzy (chihuaua/beagle mix, we think!) was diagnosed with an Inguinal Hernia. We took her in for surgery and our vet handled the submission of the claim directly. Trupanion worked very quickly and contacted the prior vets for complete medical history records, and in short order approved and paid the claim. It took less than a week since they received the claim. They kept us well informed of the claim status as it was received and progressed. This incident alone paid for our first year of premiums. We were very impressed with the entire experience.
