Review
The claim process is very simple and the turn around is quick. I signed up for pet insurance after realizing how expensive one trip to the hospital can be. I wish that I had purchased pet insurance from the very beginning of my dog's life. I have a mixed breed, a cavalier king charles mixed with a poodle and he's terrific most of the time, but he get sick just like me sometimes and he needs medical care and attention and medicine which can be costly. Having the pet insurance gives me peace of mind and allows for me to better care for my pet.

Overall good, but one issue of feeling cheated
Overall Embrace was great and timely about processing my claim. There was some confusion regarding how many forms I needed from vets, but after a few emails this was cleared up. My only complaint really would be that I understood Embrace covered Chinese herbs if prescribed by a vet (and one of the reasons I chose this company). This is what I submitted and felt I had met the requirements (prescribed by a vet). During the claims process, I found out they reimburse based on an FDA approved list and this list was only made accessible to me after several emails back and forth and a specific request to do so during the claims process. I would have preferred this link to the FDA list be noted on the website for people to see during the process when they are deciding if they will purchase insurance. This one point felt a little "bait and switch" but overall the claim was handled and they emailed throughout the process so I didn't wonder if my claim was sitting on a desk somewhere.

Thankful of ASPCA pet insurance
I decided to get pet insurance on my three cats so could make sure they would properly be cared for should an accident or illness occur. My one cat Puma was having some soft stool issues and when I took him to the vet they found he had an extremely high liver enzyme count. Many trips to the vet and lots of tests later($$$), Puma's enzyme count is close to normal and he is a happy healthy boy! I made several claims on Puma and I always receive payments adjusted fairly and in a timely manner. Not only did having the insurance save me hundreds of dollars but gave me peace of mind. The premiums I've paid on all three of my cats has been offset by Puma's claims.

Added Comfort
We have 3 cats varying in age. It can be a challenge balancing health issues as a result. I've had other insurance coverage in the past that had so many loop holes that having the insurance was far worse than not having it. Knowing that coverage is established for the "unknown" with ASPCA Pet insurance is incredibly comforting. The rates are reasonable and the claim processing time excellent. I've had a series of issues over the last several years with all 3 cats and ASPCA Pet insurance handle those claims efficiently and expeditiously. No surprises. I highly recommend this insurance over others.

Fantastic service!
We couldn't be happier with Healthy Paws. In the fall we adopted Anna, a seven-year-old shih tzu, from a shelter. Because we knew Anna had a history of severe neglect, we opted for a pet health insurance policy right away, just in case problems arose down the road.
A few weeks ago Anna was checked into a vet ER on a Sunday after severe gastrointestinal issues left her so sick she could hardly lift her head. 36 hours (and $1,500) later, Anna was back on her feet. The vet ER submitted all expenses to Healthy Paws. Within a few days we got a friendly, straightforward email from Terah requesting some additional information. Today we found out that all of Anna's expenses under the terms of the policy were covered -- which will save us close to $1,000. For premiums of less than $50/month, I'd say this is the best investment we've made in a long time.
The application process was easy. While our policy doesn't cover routine care, I think that's smart for both Healthy Paws and pet owners. It keeps our premiums a little lower and saves the coverage for the big expenses, like the ER visit. I also liked the fact that Healthy Paws offers good coverage for older pets. Not all pet insurers would issue a new policy for a seven-year-old dog. Finally, I appreciated the speed at which our claim was processed and the caring tone of all of my communications with Terah, who oversaw everything from start to finish.
If Healthy Paws offered health insurance for humans, I'd sign my fami
