Disappointed

This is the first claim in eight years I have made with the ASPCA plan. It is $1,177 for diagnostic xrays, visit and mediation, and two-and-a-half months after I filed it, it still has not been paid. I received an email after a month saying they needed more info from the vet, then another the next week saying they got it. Nothing since then. Called last week and they said they would expedite payment. Nothing yet. Very frustrating and disappointing experience.

EXCEPTIONAL, EXCELLENT PET INSURANCE

If there was one company to compare healthy paws insurance with, it would be Nordstrom. They go above and beyond in their customer service. All questions are promptly answered whether it be through e-mail or phone. There's no catches with this company, they are upfront about what they'll cover. My dog ended up having to go to the emergency room for various complications, died, but was resuscitated. He was hospitalized for several days, racking up a bill of approximately $3,000+. The claim was processed within the day, reimbursement check was in the mail within a week! I got back $2700+. They are great with following up before and after the claim, seem to show care for our pets. I cannot recommend this company enough, this is the insurance company to get for your dog! Wow, what a help in these tough times

I have this coverage on my Rottweiler, Alixis, for about 6 months. The premiums seem reasonable to me for the coverage provided. I was purchasing peace of mind. Recently I had to get surgery on my dogs foot, come to find out later it was cancer. After another surgery to have all the cancer removed I felt very satisfied and also felt that the reimbursement rates were clear and fair. If I could suggest a change to the coverage, it would be in the payback plan. If the pet insurnace could go to a more paperless system by sending back the reimburements to peoples bank accounts or CC that would be great. Overall, I have had a very positive experience with the coverage, and will purchase it again in the future.

We might not always agree, but I was treated well

I have had this coverage for my puppy since I brought her home at 8 weeks old. Overall, I am pleased with this company's service. Pros: Every contact I have had with customer service has been pleasant, even if the result was not what I wanted. Their employees are friendly and helpful, which is unique, unfortunately. Also, I have received my reimbursement checks in a timely manner. Cons: This probably is true of most companies, but I generally find that their idea of what procedures should cost, even though it is supposedly based on the average for my region, is incorrect. Out of all the claims I have submitted (and my, we have had many!), only one matched the expected cost (an emergency room visit, of all things). Overall, I expect an insurance company to be outright sleazy, and I was pleasantly surprised by this company. I will continue to renew my coverage for the inevitable catastrophe.

Great service!

I have been very pleased with the customer service and coverage through Embrace. The wellness coverage is a great option and so far are the only claims I have submitted (thankfully my dog has not needed other care yet). The claims were handled promptly and I was given email updates when my claims were received and processed. Any questions I have had were handled promptly and thoroughly, so I feel very confident in the overall coverage and service from Embrace.

First Time Dog Owner

I am a first time dog owner but have seen the vet bills my daughter has had to pay out of pocket for the care of her dog. I rescued Annie from a shelter and they could give me no idea of her breed mixture. I just know one thing, she loves to run and run hard! Even though she was only 1 year old when I got her last year, I feared for her breaking bones or getting hurt from her intense love for running and playing, so I took out pet insurance with ASPCA. She hasn't broken any bones yet, but I have had two other situations where she needed vet care in the last couple of months. I was certainly pleased to receive a reimbursement from the insurance company for some of those bills.

Great Dental Coverage for teeth cleaning

I have had a couple of different pet insurance plans over the years, but with Embrace I never have a single regret or complaint. Great customer service, clear breakdowns about what is covered and what isn't. My dog Griffin has the dental coverage on top of the regular pet insurance plan. And it is even easier, no copay just an amount cap. Only issue I had was getting my vet to send the information to Embrace, which was kinda funny that the couldn't follow the directions but hey it can't always go smoothly. Awesome insurance, I am never gonna switch.

The claims (once received) have always been processed quickly. My only complaint is the fax number listed, but they have provided me with an alternate number because some clients have had issues with the listed fax number. Fast claim turn around time.
