Great Service!

Healthy Paws is AWESOME!

When our lab puppy, Luke, suddenly went lame over the weekend, for what seemed like a broken toe, having insurance made the decision to take him into the emergency vet so much easier. When the vet suggested we get xrays to determine the cause, it was such a relief to not have to let the cost effect our decision. This is already our third claim since we enrolled 5 months ago. Each time the claims team was extremely friendly and showed sincere concern for Luke's well-being. And, WOW... each time our claim was process within 24 hours. Even though, luckily, we haven't had any large claims (each under $250,) it has still paid for itself. I think the deductible, premiums and copay are extremely fair. I can't recommend Healthy Paws enough, and I do recommend them A LOT. I only wish my own health insurance were nearly as good. Healthy Paws is awesome!

Best decision for my 3 pugs

I had always believed in insuring my pet. My first pug had insurance from when he was months old. I was never truly satisfied with the coverage or customer service, but at least I was getting some money back when we submitted a claim. One day I was so frustrated with the insurance customer service we had, that I sat for a few hours and did my research. I never bothered before because I didn't think there would be a big difference in companies. Well, I was so wrong! You see, I now had three pugs to insure and I needed a company that cared for them as much as I did. Insuring our pugs with Pets Best was the best decision I made. Our claims are processed quickly and we get much more money back.

THE Best

I have had numerous pet insurance coverage for my pets, but have been with Pets Best since '08 and am very glad I changed over to them. Their staff have been very empathetic, have done their best to work with me, and truly care about animals. I would never change from them, wherever I live. I love their honestly and how they treat their customers. So great to work with!

Financial relief during the worst of times!

As with people, it is inevitable that during a pet's lifetime they will encounter health issues that require necessary and expensive care. Knowing that we had the financial support from our Embrace policy enabled us to provide our beloved cat with the very best cardiac specialist care he needed. Given that we live in an expensive city, knowing that Embrace did not reimburse based on fee schedules gave us extra peace of mind that his care would be covered at actual cost. We have submitted multiple claims and each have been reviewed quickly with reimbursement checks received within 14 days... each of our claims have been handled by the same person (Sam A.), whom has been very good with communication and case status updates. We are VERY PLEASED with our Embrace experience and recommend them very highly to anyone who truly loves their pet.

Wonderful Insurer!

My policy has already paid for itself many times over with a single dental claim (tooth fracture through the dentin). He was just a year old and it was one of his lower canines, so we took him to a canine dentist for treatment. Healthy Paws handled my claim in a clear and caring manner. There were no surprises in terms of what was covered and what wasn't. I was very happy to have 90% of the treatment costs covered, minus the exam fee and a $50 annual deductible. They processed my claim incredibly quickly, I had my check later that week. Any time I've called them I've been really pleased with their customer service, and this was no exception. They even followed up a few weeks later to see how he was doing. I love that they actually help shelter pets unlike bogus political organizations like HSUS.

A must have for all pet parents

Healthy Paws has been amazing!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Healthy Paws has been. Until June 2011 when we switched to Healthy Paws, Pudding, our 8 year old standard poodle, was insured with another company. Every time we filed a claim, there was always a reason that it was not covered. In November 2011, Pudding ruptured a disk in his neck causing neurologic impairment in his hind legs. Thousands of dollars for tests and MRIs, Healthy Paws paid immediately, no questions asked. When I called to say Pudding needed surgery, another $5500, what sort of pre-authorization did I need; the only concern was for Puddings well being and recovery. Again, my reimbursement was received within a few days. I actually received inquiries from the kind people at Healthy Paws as to how Pudding was doing and what else could they do to help. Yesterday I submitted the invoice ($600) for a quad-cart , Pudding’s wheelchair, as he won’t be able to walk for several months. I have just received an email advising me that we will receive a check shortly. It has been a long, difficult several months, but Healthy Paws has made it so much more manageable. I don’t know how we would have been able to handle it all without their assistance. I wish my health coverage was as good or as caring! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Healthy Paws.

One Less Thing to Worry About

I recently found a lump on the side of one of my dogs, Charley. He is only 3 years old and I am sad to say it was found to be a mast cell tumor. It has been surgically removed, but there are cancerous cells left deep inside him where they could not get everything, which means he will need further treatment - possibly more surgery, radiation, or chemo. I will be consulting with a veterinary oncologist for him, but in the meantime, the wound where his surgery took place on his side has been difficult to heal. Stitches and staples have not been able to keep it properly closed so I have solution to clean it, antibiotics to help ward off infection, and pain medication to keep him comfortable. Through 6 visits to the vet with him in the last month and all the associated expenses, Healthy Paws has been there with great coverage, regular email updates to me about my claim process and timely reimbursements, not to mention the personal touch of inquiring about Charley's progress. Any time I have called to ask them a question, they have been so friendly and helpful. I have been so happy with their service so far and it is great to know I can count on them for that level of service as Charley and I continue treatment for his cancer so that I can focus on him getting well and not have to worry about any administrative hassles that so often come along with insurance claims. I know Charley will be o.k. and have many more healthy years ahead of him, and I will have Healthy Paws partially to

No Headaches

So far every claim we have sent in (and there have been numerous claims due to my baby schnauzer's problems) has been fairly reviewed and gotten back to us quickly. Getting the claim forms online has been useful because when we have forgotten to print them we can have them printed out at the vet's office. Faxing them in is very convenient and we appreciate the prompt response in letting us know the fax is received. Well done.
