Hannah, worth saving twice

When my dog, Hannah, was diagnosed w/ Disseminated Valley Fever and Intra-abdominal Actinomyces, I was stunned. There was no doubt that I would do everything possible to save this dog again; once from the euthanized list at the County Pound, and now this. Having Trupanion enables me to be more stress free during all of Hannah's treatments - infusions, MRIs, numerous blood work panels. Sara, our 'case manager' has been available for any questions and encouragement. The payments have been prompt and so appreciated. I can have the best treatment for Hannah without any additional worries.

THE BEST THING I GOT FOR MY DOGS

I am very pleased with Healthy Paws. I did extensive research on the various pet insurance companies out there. I ended up with choosing Healthy Paws and I am so glad I did. Here are the things I like about this insurance: 1. Excellent customer service 2. Claims are easy to process 3. Fast reimbursements 4. Affordable plan 5. True to their word Here's my story... My dachshund recently had spine surgery for a herniated disc. I never filed a claim and Meredith walked me through it. She reassured me and was very understanding in what I was going through. The first claim took a little longer because they had to review all medical records of my dog. Meredith called all the hospitals that my dog visited since he was a puppy. Got all the records. I did not have to do a thing. Within a few days, I got an email letting me know that my reimbursement was coming in the mail! The second claim was for the surgery. Within 2 days, I got an email saying the check was coming soon...again! WOW! Service is excellent! I had nothing but superb customer service from the staff at Healthy Paws. They called and emailed me throughout my dog's surgery and recovery. They wanted to make sure I got my claims in and that my dog was recovering. Today, I got an email from the manager asking me how my dog was doing and wanted to wish him a quick recovery! Amazing service! I highly recommend Healthy Paws to all my friends and family. (Quick tip: send your pet's medical records to Health P

Rescue Owners RUN elsewhere!

My one year old dog came from rescue. I had taken him to my vet within 48 hours as required by rescue. Embrace has refused coverage for ONE YEAR on the following: anything related to vomiting, skin conditions and worms ... their reasoning - my rescue dog was treated by my vet for those ... well, he's a rescue, he was found living in a barn, standing in his own urine for almost 12 months! So yeah, I have taken this VERY personal because I have tried to do right by and for my dog ... how dare they and I will tell anyone I can to avoid embrace, especially if you've got a rescue.

Peace of Mind

I've only been with one pet insurance company, and that's Embrace. After carefully weighing the pros and cons of several pet insurance companies, I decided on Embrace because of their coverage, variety of plan options, and their customer service reviews on other sites. While I haven't submitted many claims, Embrace gives me peace of mind. The Claims Department is very responsive, curteous, friendly, and understanding. They even accepted a late claim when I discovered that a friend who took my dog to the vet while I was out of state for a family member's wedding hadn't submitted the claim because he thought the vet did that. Sometimes I wish that more items were covered in the plan I selected, but there are several options available and if I wanted to pay more monthly, more items would be covered during the visits. For me, it just isn't cost effective with the few claims I've had to make so far. I really like knowing that Embrace will be there when I really need it. Their direct deposit option for claims is fast and convenient too! Overall, I have been quite pleased since July 2010!

Very Good Experience

Recently our dog has experienced a number of unexpected and serious health issues including pneumonia and panostieitis. Thankfully he again is enjoying good health. We were very pleased with how Embrace dealt with our extensive and costly medical claims and how the staff asinteracted with us. My only suggestion is that they streamline the submission process so the claims can be sent in directly by the vets office.

Very disappointed with Embrace insurance

I was very disappointed. I was told that my dog would not be covered for a cyst which was not a pre-existing condition. I am in the medical field and fortunately was knowledgeable enough to question the unapproved claim. They were trying to tell me that a very hard benign tumor which she had in the past was the same as this fluid filled cyst which was entirely in a different area. Fortunately my vet called and agreed with my evaluation of the situation. I do not think the reviewers are knowledgeable enough. So be persistent if you put in a claim. It also took way past the 15 days for a review when I appealed. The policy listed is that a decision is made in 15 days. I would not recommend this insurance.
