An excellent investment

Our shelter-adopted, female, toy poodle mix may have ingested something toxic while a stray before being rescued by a kind, pet-loving person and taken to the Hendricks County Animal Control Shelter. We made several medical insurance claims after a pre-surgical blood test before she could be spayed showed elevated ALT liver enzymes, followed by a month of treatment with Denosyl, two subsequent blood tests, an ultrasound of her abdomen, then a liver biopsy taken during her spay surgery. The biopsied tissue was sent to the Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory at Purdue University for histopathologic examination. It was determined that there is "hydropic hepatocellular degeneration" in her liver "that may be the result of hypoxia as well as metabolic or toxic insults." To our relief, this is a mild condition that should not require any further treatment at this time. Trupanion handled all of our claims made for the above situation in a very timely manner and reimbursed us according to the promises made when we enrolled in their pet health insurance program. We have been more than pleased and feel that enrolling our "Princess" with this company has been one of the best investments we've made.

We love Healthy Paws, they are the BEST:-)

My first claim was due to what I thought was a broken or sprained foot while on a walk in the park with Dutchess & Daisy (two very spunky 1 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniels). While on the walk, Dutchess yelped and started to limp; after a trip to the vet, it was determined that she had a luxating patella. The vet recommended surgery to the tune of $2200-2800. I took her to 2 additional vets for second opinions, all with the same diagnoses and similar cost. Thank God for Healthy Paws. They allowed us to make the best treatment decision for Dutchess and she is now on week 4 of recovery and doing well :) My experience with Healthy Paws thus far has been outstanding! After lots of research into which pet insurance would cover the most for my money and reading many pet parent reviews I decided to go with Healthy Paws. I am so thankful I did. They have been awesome. They follow up almost immediately and they even check in on your pet after an illness or injury.

excellent

We have a 5 year old english bulldog and anyone who has ever had a purebread bulldog knows that they can be an expensive dog to have. Recently she has been very sick. Our bills were starting to rack up. Trupanion has always had fast response to our claims and great customer service. To anyone who has ever had a sick pet, worrying about climbing vet bills can add to the stress of the whole situation. We can concentrate on helping our dog get better without worrying about the vet bills. The reduction in stress far outweighs the cost of our monthly premium. We will be using Trupanion for all of our pets in the future and you should too. 90% coverage is by far the best on the market. We enrolled her at 10 weeks old and over the past 5 years have never had a problem.

Pretty Good but.....

Customer service is great. A little slow in processing of claims, it seems like it takes a little too long for the claims to be processed.

Great Job Welness

Have never had Pet Indurance before & was always skeptical. With a new puppy I believed the wellness program alone would be a benefit. Very first submission of claims have been handled quickly professionally & obviously to my full satisfaction. Not only do I now endorse pe insurance, but also recommend without any hesitation Embrace as the premier provider to work with. Thanks
