Wellness Checkup...Covered for $200
I just received the reimbursement check for $200 from Embrace. My vet has a special yearly wellness checkup umbrella plan for $209, so for $10, Trooper is covered for blood draw, rabies, urine and fecal exams, etc. I'm very pleased with the terrific coverage and response of Embrace.

Best insurance out there
I've been with Embrace for three years, and I've never had a claim denied. I had used other companies in the past, and they fought me on every claim. Embrace provides prompt service--I received pre-approval for my dog's cruciate surgery within three days, and I submitted the request on a Friday! Furthermore, Embrace covers "alternative" treatments, such as laser therapy, physical therapy, and veterinary acupuncture--without which my dog would be in great pain. Thank you, Embrace, for the great service!

Disappointed in premium increase
I have had Pets Best for several years for my 3 dogs. My oldest dog, Osa, turned 14 in April and has really had only 1 issue which was a chronic bacterial infection on her elbow. My renewal came up for the 3 dogs effective July 7th and because they changed insurers Osa's premium went from 394.00 a year to 1,060 a year!! I was flabbergasted. I called and they actually told me that the older dogs were costing alot of shell out and I think they wanted the customers with older dogs to cancel which was what I did. I have been okay with them and would have understood an increase but not to the tune of more than $600. In that regard I am very disappointed in their service. I have not seen other insurances jump that much. I insured her with another company for $51 a month but of course it excluded her elbow, arthritis and thyroid pills which Pets Best did anyway (arthritis and thyroid). Long story short, if you have older pets now and your renewal is coming up be prepared to either pay the premium or cancel..

Thanks a billion!
My daughter Mango (a Jack Russell Terrier) developed severe allergies and would bite/scratch herself all over her body until she bled and hair would start falling out. It breaks our hearts to see her suffer like that. We would really like to thank Trupanion for their help, support and quick time to handle replies and claims!

At present very satisfactory
The original claim for pancreatitis was denied as it was believed to be a preexisting condition. based on an erroneous reading of earlier minor illnesses. I appealed, describing the earlier incidences in detail and pointing out the difference in symptoms and blood work, and in the end the appeal was allowed, and all claims for the pancreatis, which seems to be chronic, have been covered up to 90% once the deductible was reached. The question about time to handle claim is confusing - once the appeal was settled, it has been 1-2 weeks.

Hard work getting my claim accepted
I have to say that service and payment were very promt once mty claim had been received. Getting the claim received was very hard work. It was faxed in at least 4 times and never received (to various numbers following phone conversations). I finally scanned all documents and emailed them in - still not received. I phoned to ensure claim was in motion but was told it wasn't there. I then emailed again while consultant stayed on the line. Success at last. It took about a month to get all this sorted out. Clearly something is wrong in the way claimes are received.

Best Decision We Ever Made
Best Best is fantastic. We compared all the other pet insurance companies before signing up with Pets Best. We purchased the insurance when we first brought our little girl home. We have Best Wellness, so it encouraged us to get her 6th month check-ups and regular maintenance. That in and of itself is a reason to have it...but as with any insurance, one hopes, and often thinks, it will never really be needed. When Summer was only 2 she very sick, likely from the tremendous heat. Pest Best was there, and we were able to get her well..we did not have to worry like most people we saw at the Vet ER. Having to make the most difficult decision, because they could not afford t pay for treatment. Then two years ago, we found Summer sick again---she has Immune mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA), treatment is VERY expensive, and on going. Pets Best has been great, even reimbursing our vet so our out of pocket is very small.
We are at the end of our coverage as our limit was $7000, but I am thankful that they have been there for this. We could not have done this without Pets Best. Thank you!!
